Thanks everyone! for the compliments and warm wishes.

Currently we are enjoying being married and sharing our dreams of the future (and getting all documents in order for the nefarious side of the equation).

It took long enough for me to find her. And then almost longer still to get to this point, but after five months of initial communication, then a two year relationship which included more than six months of face to face time (having our share of disagreements, some testing the fiber of *us* to limit, and working through them), and a total of five visits, here we are today -- just starting out in more than a sense.  :P

Love has indeed grown much larger and deeper than any infatuation to the point where we are partners working together in a relationship.

It's pretty darn cool.  But still, just the beginning of another phase of the journey...

Thanks again everyone, from both of us.  When I have some free time I'll write more about the 'Wedding trip' for those who may be considering marrying 'over there'.

So I wish both of you well!

So you must have been married in Ukraine? Care to explain the process?

Are you filing for a CR-1 visa?

Alrighty then.. just a brief update from the

ASSociated Press, October 18, 2012 news from Kiev.

Super Maiden had her interview today and was approved for her CR-1 visa.  She arrived at the scheduled time of 8:00 A.M., her interview took place at noon and lasted less that five minutes.   So she had to wait four hours.  She'll get her passport with visa attached in approx two weeks or so they said.

She said there were several other women and one man.  She was the only CR-1, all the rest of the ladies were K-1's and several were rejected (no idea why),  the man was rejected *forever* as he had overstayed illegally for like 10 years.

Anyway, we're down to the last steps.  Rock on... time to try to get this house cleaned up a little...  >:D   though regardless of what I do, it will certainly fail the RW white glove test cleanliness test.

I flunked that one with flying colors. I had no idea. Good Luck to you both, Dave, I hope all goes smoothly from here on out.

Congrats Daveman!

Just a reminder.... I don't know if this is still relevant today, but I learned from the old RWG forum about the bed sheet thingy.

Remember, brand new bed sheets still wrapped in store plastic for the RW's arrival?

I passed it, no problem.

I hired a Cuban woman and her daughter to clean my place.  ;D

Marina called her Mom when she arrived at the house, 2nd or 3rd comment to Mom was about how clean the house was.  8)

Congratulations. As for the house, just inform her that you could not get it over your heart not to have her input on redecorating....

Daveman,

Fantastic.  I too did not know that you are still living alone.  I should have put 2+2 together knowing that a CR-1 can take a long time dependent upon the backlog and agency resources assigned to it.

Your single life will soon change and I guess we will see less of you for a while as you help her adjustment.  It is challenging but fun.

Wishing the two of you the best.
