Harry, under the earlier assumption you are not a troll as someone is indicating, as someone has mentioned, maybe your reading to much agency hype.  And let me point out I'm an agency owner myself and one of the biggest challanges I face are the many new men who read so much of this agency BS and believe it.   Best to begin this pursuit with a VERY open mind and read, read, read. Education is very much an important element to success. You will read of many varying opinions as to many aspects of this most wonderful pursuit. You need to examine the many different approach's and see what you think is the best approach for you.

Now if your thinking about going to the Ukraine  (heck, everyone else is throwing in a cheap "the" might as well myself) and teaching English, and being able to live off of this, Harry, your in for a rude awakening.

I don't know all the abreviations you use here I is somewhat confusing.
I am not in a mid life crisis. I am divorced I thought I had found the everlasting love but instead found the judge. I know that finding love is tough anywhere. I thought the culture and mind set is different in European countries and they are more committed to relationships. Here it seems if you have an argument of dispute it is grounds for a divorce. Correct me if I am wrong.
I am still the optimist about love. Divorce has not made me bitter I look at it as a lesson learned.

And, apparently, the reverse situation  exists in FSU.  i.e.  There males
initiate the majority of divorces.

If this is true, then maybe FSU females will be more committed to a marriage
than USA females.  But, of course, it is always a crap shoot for an individual
as opposed to the overall stats.

This idea of teaching English just because you have been born in an English speaking country is mostly a pipe dream which is shared by many people who come along to these forums.

We native English speakers may be able to converse, write and understand English well enough but we wouldn't last a week as an English teacher.  Native speakers of any language haven't the foggiest notion of why we choose the words we use, and thus cannot explain such to those who are trying to learn.

And, the salaries earned by most people in FSU and certainly applying to English teachers, will not leave you with any 'extra money.'

MtnMan46 I can understand your concern regarding the divorce rate in America, as well that in Russia and Ukraine where you are having thoughts of looking.

When we men are 19, 20, 21, 22 and we marry it is most the time a mistake. In reality we know so little about life but ohhh that sex with our 18, 19, 20 year old girlfriend is so good, were going to marry her.

One of the main reasons we have this 50%, or more, divorce rate is because so many young people marry before they really have a good understanding of life.

I'm sure their are figures out there somewhere, maybe OlgaH can google and find, but I would bet the percentage of divorces of people who marry when they reach their late 20's and early 30's is much lower than that of those who marry at a much younger age.

One of the many things American and most foreign men have going for them when they pursue a foreign bride is that they are not in their 20's anymore, many are not even in their 30's and as such have a much better understanding about life in general.

When a man, American or foreign, who has interest to marry, say a women from Ukraine or Russia, and he takes his time, meets many ladies, looks for that one lady who has a pure and natural chemistry with him, in these cases the chances of a long lasting marriage are greatly increase.   Now some men are able to meet and marry the only one Russian woman they ever met and they live happily ever after.  It happens but one should consider this an exception and not the norm.

So, educate yourself, take your time, read, read, read, plan an efficient trip and good luck.

Depends on how much money you have to spend. The more money, the better your chances of getting that trophy you want.  I would suggest Euros, as the dollar isn't as strong as it used to be.

Do yourself a favor...  when looking through those fabulous profiles, start at your own age and work down..  Start with the head containing brain matter and work your way down.  The closer you get to your belt line, the more you'll start thinking that semen filled 'little head' instead.

Try to stay above your neckline - in relative terms within 10 years or so.

I can assure you you don't want an 18 to 25 year old for anything more than a fling.

Harrydubois, Mtn46,  let me make one suggestion I make to all clients, as you are looking for ladies who interest you try to pay special attention to ladies who can speak at least a little English.

Many Rus/Ukr ladies who can speak English will often put or say they speak "a little English". Most Rus/Ukr ladies are perfectionist and unless she is an interpreter, or someone who uses English daily in her work, most Rus/Ukr ladies will say they speak a little English when in fact the English they speak is often good enough.

I tell men experience/education is the best teacher. I suggest to men to try to meet ladies who can speak a little English and go ahead and meet some Rus/Ukr ladies who speak no English, have meetings where you will need an interpreter. This last trip is as good as an example as any and all trips.  After the first city, after men had met ladies who could speak at least a little English and they met ladies who spoke no English, each man told me to set up his meetings in the next city only with those ladies who could speak a little English.

Again let me say I am an agency owner but I think somewhat different. Most agencies/consultants prefer to have ladies who speak no English so that you become dependent on them. They need to be your interpreter, they need to translate for you, they need to be with you during all your meetings.  I'm of the thought that you will be better off trying to meet, to know and to communicate with a Rus/Ukr lady who you can communicate with directly. It's hard enough in adjusting to the different in cultures, being able to communicate with each other, directly, should not be another obstacle.

Now I will say their will always be exceptions.  You see a woman, you like her looks, her age, her height, everything about her except she cannot speak English. On some occasions you take the chance and you teach this lady English.  Right now from my most recent trip two men who met a lot of ladies, each found a lady they would like to see again, this time without an interpreter.

I have in the past found eight ladies who interested me enough that I also paid for them to take English lessons.  Your's truly found a 9th such woman last month and I am having this lady being taught English lessons now and if I can hear the progress in her English when I call her in mid-November, I'm going to have one fine New Years Eve date.

So to sum up this long reply, I think you will be better off by trying to find Rus/Ukr ladies, and their are millions of them, who can speak at least a little English.

However the girls on Anastasia dating don't care! They love mature men, especially the girls from lugansk.

So here's my plan: get a job working for the American English Center, preferably in Lugansk. They pay about $12,000 per year, which I think shuld be ample. They also train you to teach, no experience required. Date a few of my friends from Anastasia, or meet more girls there in bars, clubs or on the street. Then, after work, party like a rockstar. Seriously.

It is a crap shoot whether you marry a woman/man from your culture or from another culture.

It is a crap shoot if you marry the girl/boy from next door that you have known since you were 3 years old.

As they say in Russia - life is a crap shoot. You may walk out of your apartment building and a brick will fall on your head... However I do like the last sentense you wrote:  "Note, I am not saying that you cannot improve your odds somewhat but, at the end of the day, it is still a crap shoot."
Improving the odds is what life is all about.
We get college education because the odds will be better of us getting a better, better paying, more rewarding career.
We exercise because it increases the odds of us having a better quality of life
We do our research and buy a safer, more reliable vehicle
We wear a seat belt while driving
Insurance industry is based on odds


I can go on but don't want this list to get too long. Why wouldn't you want to increase the odds of your marriage being successful? When there is a language barrier on top of everything else it truly becomes a crap shoot. Seems like it would make sense to increase your odds as much as possible. Many would agree that communication is the key in any relationship. Communicating with some one from another country/culture, who's English skills are very limited (as in the case of most FSU women who say that they speak English) will pretty much reduce your "getting to know each other" to a lot of guess work and many misunderstandings. Then it truly becomes a crap shoot. But I guess you can always get divorced once she learns English in about a year after coming to your country, and you start to communicate more freely just to find out that you aren't compatible.
And then you can just try again until you get it right 


On a serious note, I will never understand people who don't think that it is extremely important to make every effort for both a WM and a FSU woman to get to know and understand each other as well as possible before uprooting the woman, bringing her to your country and marriage. I just don't see any logic there.
