Ukrainian gal wins body building championship

 Ukrainian model wins body building championship  Today at 16:50             | Mariya Manzhos           This year’s world championship in body building ended with a Ukrainian triumph. Model and singer Santa Dimopoulos won the gold medal in World Bodybuildling and Physique Championship held in Thailand from October 2 to October 8.         

 Dimopoulos, 22, won the nomination Physique Model for the most athletic and model physique. In addition to the gold medal, Ukraine also got silver in the nomination Woman Bodybuilding and bronze in the nomination Fitness Man.
 
 The model was born in Ukraine from a Ukrainian mother and a Syrian father. She was married to Kyiv’s famous showman Andriy Dzhedzhula with whom she has a son Daniel.
 
 “We have been preparing for the competition for two months through rigorous practices,” said Dimopoulos. “Even though I was in good shape, the training was tough on my body. I would not have endured without the support of my loved ones.”
 
 The championship is open to women of all ages and family status, with the only requirement of athletic built, beauty and ability to carry oneself in public. WBPC Federation includes more than 80 countries, yet only 34 participated in the competition this year.
 
 “It was rewarding to watch the fans from across the globe listening to the Ukrainian anthem in Thailand. I was honored to represent our country on such a significant occasion of beauty, health and sport,” said Dimopoulos.

This mixture of Ukrainian and Syrian does produce quite a good looking gal.

I was also surprised to read recently that Steve Jobs' father was a Syrian who apparently abandoned he and his mother.  Think this father might have regretted it once Steve had a few million dollars?

The most beautiful children I have ever seen had a Ukrainian mother and Ethiopian father. 
 
Steve Jobs' father didn't abandon his mother.  They were both grad students, unmarried at the time of his birth.  Their one stipulation in giving him up for adoption was that his adoptive parents send him to college. 
 
Steve Jobs was adopted by working class parents, who did send him to college.  He dropped out his first year, and once wrote about how guilty he felt about it, knowing how much his parents had sacrificed to honour their commitment.
 
Jobs' biological parents eventually married, and had a daughter, novelist Mona Simpson.  His biological parents eventually divorced.  Jobs had a relationship with his sister and biological mother, but not his biological father.
