Well I have been a lurker here for well over a year, and still consider myself a newb to all of this. I have plenty to learn and would like to thank all of you for the information on this site. I'm ready to take my first real plunge and am open to any and all suggestions.

If you have been reading here a year you already know there are many different opinions. My advice would be pick out what you think would work best for you.

And most of all enjoy the journey.

Main suggestion : be yourself, date like you would date at home and consider the whole thing a great adventure regardless of the outcome.

Stay away form letting it become an obsession, from treating people as job recruits and from expecting a return on the money you invested.

I'm still looking. I started looking on Anastasia........... I know, I know. I didn't know any better at the time. I have a few ladies I'm talking to, but nothing real promising yet. Still working on my Russian and honestly just considering a trip first. That is unless a find something promising before then.

Yes sir! Looking for a good site still, I have looked a EM a little. But, that is the only site I have seen strong support for here. There has to be more than one, right?

I did not really like this idea of the agencies. I met my UW on freepersonals.ru. I have heard good things about Khersongirls but have no experience of my own with them.

I liked EM - they provide much information and make everything easy.

As an option similar to EM, I had some success with: http://www.1vipdating.com/ I would rank them a notch below EM regarding practices. Yet, they will suffice to meet the goal of identifying some choice RW and starting correspondence to deem if a meeting is warranted. Sign up for SKYPE if you haven't already.

I suggest that you join a couple of sites. The $100-200 you spend for 3-6 months of membership with free letter writing is just a drop in the bucket of the total cost of this endeavor.

Hi all, thx again for the welcome. Update I've found two girls that I am now exchanging letters and phone calls with. Also, had to fight off about 10 fakes but, I'm very happy with the two. Now the scary part, the trip planning! Yalutorovsk Russia seams a little hard to get to! haha

Looks like it will be hard to pronounce the name of that city, let alone get to.
