FSUW are not for entry level daters
FSUW don't do vague
FSUW like a man of action. Be a man of action
If you find a promising girl, get your butt on a plane.
There are a hundred ways to be successful and a thousand ways to f#ck it up
Just kiss the girl, don't ask her first. Tolerate NO excuses!

Hey Doug,
good to see you here. Don't get sucked into arguments with Manny, you can use the "Ignore" button and move on. Not worth it IMO.

@Wicheese: it was really nice meeting you and your beautiful wife last week! Really enjoyed it!

My last trip to Ukraine lasted a month and my fiance and I spent the time together both at our home in Primorsk as well as some other exciting places.  We are expecting to get married shortly after my fiance and her daughter arrive in the US about Feb/2012.

Taken in the context of your intro and other posts, these two sentences comprise a pretty good TR and say a lot.

After reading quite a few of them over the years it truly boils down to boy meets girl in a multitude of variations, with or without third party assistance. Some work out, some don't. I tend to enjoy TR's that delve more into impressions and experiences with FSU people and culture rather than the budding relationships, which IMHO is the easiest part of this venture.

It sounds like you spent a good amount of time getting to know each other on your fiancee's home turf.  That's a great way to start.

Welcome and best wishes to you and new family!

BC,
Thanks for the comments.  The TR for the 1st and 2nd trip are pretty much complete along with perhaps a hundred photos.  I try to write it in sort of a day to day fashion with all the trial and tribulations in order to portray real life.  I am glad you like the more personal descriptions, not just photos of scenery  and nice places to visit.  Hopefully I will be able to post it for you all to enjoy in the near future.

Doug

Yeah, stuff like the thoughts that runs through a visitors mind the first time they visit Red Square and impressions of life there.

Here's one I posted a few years ago  http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/index.php?topic=7949.msg143913#msg143913

At a mere one page, it wasn't a 'killer thread' but a few seemed to enjoy it and that's just fine.

Glad you enjoyed it Doug.

No, am not a journalist. Lay tourist reporter at very best.

mendeleyev is a true journalist and it's really nice that he posts so generously here at RWD.

His posts here:  http://www.russianwomendiscussion.com/index.php?action=profile;area=showposts;u=3322

and his journal here: http://russianreport.wordpress.com/

He compiles a great deal of interesting information without letting his feet leave the ground.  I really enjoy his POV.

Actully some very good and knowledgeable people have left here, migrated over to the other place.  I would say the quality of those who have left here far exceed the quality of what migrates from there to here.    :(

We obviously have very different values systems that determined what makes a quality person. Our views are diametrically opposed as I see the quality coming here instead. But that is what makes a great forum opposing view points expressed in a gentlemanly manner. Something that is not allowed where I came from.

My tip, commercial interests and dealing with competition.

Commercial members do seem to switch fields quite often.  Men made of sugar avoiding rain, chasing each other to the next dry spot.

Not really. Jack doesn't like snakes any more than I do. Your spamming means you and your buddy have only the one playground now. Everyone else - with different values [sic] systems - have two. Y'know...... the quality people.  ;)

Never let it be said I am shy about putting out the trash.
