Easy way to learn the history of Russia

A company exists that tapes the lectures of top rated university professors in dozens of courses.

I have purchased several of these DVD courses covering various topics.
Have been extremely pleased with all, except for the music courses taught by a Professor Greenberg.

The courses can be quite expensive in the range of $200-500.

However, they periodically have sales on a sampling of the courses.

Right now, and until 28 December, the course: "A History of Russia from Peter the Great to Gorbachev" can be purchased for $49.95.  Regular price $374.95.
You must use priority code 61154 to get this price (I get their regular mailings with these offers).

The course consists of 36 lectures of 30 minutes each; so 18 hours of DVD material to watch and listen to.

By the way, there are no 'exams' so the courses are just for your info.
