Hello, new to RW/UW and this forum

Well, I am leaving tomorrow for my trip.  We have sent a few sms between each other, many emails, and many chats on skype.  So there is much progress.  The apartment I am in, she says that it is two buildings down from her.  I found an apartment on another site than anastasia and it is about $15 cheaper per night than what they had.   I have an old phone that I plan on using with a sim card purchased in ukraine.   She has asked to have an interpreter with her when we meet at the airport and she said that she would pay for it.  Hey, thats fine with me, if it makes her more comfortable. 
I offered to pay for it, but she said that since she wanted the interpreter, she would get it, at least for the trip from the airport to my apartment.  I don't know if it matters,  but she said the interpreter is a young girl and charges $10 per hour.  Seems somewhat reasonable, since anastasia charges $15 per hour for an interpreter.  And, I do have a backup plan, if it comes to that.

Thanks for all the tips and anymore that anyone has.

If the girl really likes you and is very serious about having the relations with you, she would have:

1)  given you her personal e-mail address
2)  given you her phone number 
3)  given you her home address
4)  is willingly to meet you at Kiev Airport (show respect)
5)  Do not ask you to send her money for anything, including transport

If she doesn't have any of the 5 above numbers, then it is NO GO for me!!


I have a woman whom I had corresponded with wanted to meet me, and wanted me to send her money to fly to Kiev as she lives in Mariupol.  I told her to forget about it as I am NOT going to give her a penny because I haven't met her.   She complaint that it is too far for her to travel by train/coach.   Well, at least it is in Ukraine!!  I am from UK  (many men are from USA) that travelled long way, including bus/train to airport in UK ...

Now, you are from USA and therefore she should really meet you at Kiev airport!!

Good luck.  You did much to reconcile the concerns with Anasatasia women.
 
Hide that backup plan.  Never mention it.  This woman sounds very promising.  It is a huge step to remove oneself from Anastasia agency.  In fact, I did not know it wacould be done easily.

Well, believe it or not...I do it all the time....what is important is to find a sincere girl.........never mind about agency or site.

Easy for the man.  Some dishonest agencies are reluctant to let a cash cow walk.  They will keep ther profile to attract new men and then fabricate a few letters.  It has been done.

Fine, if you are doing a WOVO trip and if you need your hand held.  In that case, it is not about "respect" but a combination of "hospitality" and a "desire" to meet her possible destiny from a strange land.

Why would you expect a woman to travel overnight on a dirty train or bus to meet you at the airport?    If you have corresponded for months and have spent hours on Skype and have developed a serious fondness for each other, she will want to meet you.  But in that case you should feel confident to trust her and to send her  travel money (bus, not airplane).

You are quite right gator, I have heard the trouble some girls have to delete their profiles.........thing is, write little and visit soon....

I also agree that one should offer some of the travel expenses of his date. Especially for a long bus ride like the one she is about to take to meet you.  If you have a fondness and mutual attrction  with this woman like you say, then why not be a gentleman and finance her bus fare?
