Hey All -

Am new to this site - but not new in my search... which has been on & off for over 2-3 years now...

Am curious if anyone has had any experience with any or all of these agencies/sites? Reason I ask is that I'm pretty fed up with ALL agencies - and am looking at a more streamlined approach to all this... Direct contact - with minimal involvement from an "agency"...

I asked "Billy-B" in his trip report about which sites/agencies he's used to blast out 650+ letters to - and he was kind enough to answer and offer some sites... But I'm not a big fan of some he mentioned (but they worked WELL for him!! So maybe they merit another look) Some others he offered were kinda new to me, so I'll check them out as well... Point being, the 3 I've mentioned in my title line have recently piqued my interest for a variety of reasons -

A-Pretty is part of a "network" - and based on Anti-Scam and "Jim's List" doesn't get very high marks - And like many other "token" sites - I get the usual 3-5 letters a day from some real bombshells  - So I think I've already answered my own question in regards to them LOL -

OriginClub is "interesting".... for I signed up there about 2 years ago - and pretty much forgot about them because they too were sending me 3-5 letters a day from "10's" and wanting to charge me to just read the inbound spam letters - Bzzzzzzz - I don't think so.... But, I noticed about 3 months ago, they dropped that policy, and can read inbound for free now - and their reply charges seem in line with the going rates for letters... but I still don't trust the fact if the girl in question really sat down and looked/read my profile and sent me a "letter of interest"...

Lastly - is FOR RUSSIAN ROMANCE.COM - I know there are at least 3-4 other "mirror sites" and are part of a network - But these letters I get seem to fall more in line with a woman that would really be sincerely interested in me - Not the cover model from AnstasiasWeb!!:brightidea:

So, am just curious wondering if any of ya'll have any experience with any or all of these "agencies" or "sites"??

Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

Cheers!

PS: In somewhat of the same vein, I believe this new US LAW about the MOB industry is now "active" (or is this week?) - Either way, some have wondered if this would "kill" the agency business... I guess time will tell - But will say that the agencies that seem to be "reputable" have contacted me about the new law, and outlined how they intend to comply - Whereas the 3 listed above (and dozens of "others" that I've not even mentioned) have NOT contacted me, nor do they make mention of it on their site(s).... Which just makes me wonder about their credibility just that much more... Hmmmm - Thoughts?

Direct contact was what I wanted out of the companies I did business with. Pay a certain amount and get addresses/e-mails in bulk. Of course my method worked for me but MAINLY because I had the wisdom and a little luck to choose the right woman. I could have very well had a crash and burn story will little to show if I let myself fall in love or lust with a certain photo or two. Some guys can and will have good results with agencies. I would trust the word of certain agency owners at this forum about the sincerety of certain women in their agency.

There is a restraining order against that MOB law you're talkin about. Chances are it will be law sooner or later.

Thanks Billy - Yeah "wisdom" about the whole process is really the key... Hence the questions - Cuz after 2-3 years of doing "this" - A few agencies have toasted me - as well as a few "direct" contacts (we all have our crash and burn stories LOL)

I think it does turn into a numbers game of sorts - But within those numbers, lie allot of variables - i.e. location, culture(s), beliefs, economics etc.... Point being - Companies like AFA - whilst a massive database - don't "know" their clientele - nor do they keep current those 35,000 profiles (not to mention their tours are getting a bad name to each city visited) - I'm heading off the beaten path a bit now - Doesn't mean that scammers or bad people don't exist there - The last gal I got serious with in Odessa - after we met - she told me I was the 6th Western Man she had met - and she had been engaged to 1 already - but stopped the paperwork - Wow! - You think she would've kinda mentioned that prior to the trip (and yeah, I asked in a subtle way before - as not to offend - but still wishing to learn/know) - So, I dunno - It's a "process" for sure - That's why I asked about these 2-3 sites - Women seem "real" there - (not "10's" model photos) but aren't dogs either.... I think I may just do another wing-it trip -

Anyway - Thanks again - and best of luck with your engagement!!

Cheers-

Killer-

PS: My mention of the MOB Act - was from last week before EC had filed suit - So - yeah, it'll be interesting to see if it holds up or not - I read the complaint (from EC) and sounds pretty solid - We'll see if it goes the distance!!

Hey Killer B, had a few minutes and was reading some of the post's and ran across yours.

When I read what you wrote here,....A-Pretty is part of a "network" - and based on Anti-Scam and "Jim's List" doesn't get very high marks .....I was prompted to write you.

Please do not judge any agency, good or bad, by honest Jim's site. If you pay Jim you are recommended. Elena's Models, AFA, the agencies that "donate" to Jim's agencies are highly recommended. One of the most effecient scam operations in all of Lugansk, 2Oceans of Love,  is highly rated by Jim. Why? How? Because they make monthly "donations". Jim changed his requsted $20 a month program after I had written about this a couple of years ago to now accepting "donations". I shudder when I think of all the men who have been scammed by this agency because Honest Jim has them on his recommended list.

Hi Jack - Thanks for your thoughts and comments - As mentioned in my starting post, I'm just looking for some feedback (good or bad) about these 3 agencies I've mentioned - I tossed out "Jim's List" cuz it SEEMED to be pretty unbiased - Plus I think he's the only one out there doing this sort of thing - So I dunno - Made sense to me at the time... That said, after reading your post, I thought I recalled a "mission statement" of sorts on one of his 2 sites stating that he didn't take money - or - if he did, it had to get his Good Housekeeping Stamp of approval FIRST - Now, is this true? I dunno? I can see your side clearly ($$$$$$$$$$) but if you read his comments below (edited for space) he presents a pretty compelling case as to why he "does what he does" and makes it pretty clear that he's not in it (entirely) for the cash... So, I dunno...

Either way, If anyone else can make a POSITIVE recommendation about some sites worth working with, I'm all ears!! On the "other board" for 2 years I asked and asked and asked - And despite a "Front Page" full of "recommended agencies" - I could NEVER find one single solid recommendation! Amazing really if you think about it.... But I digress -

Thanks again for your help - And maybe as a group, we'll some day separate the good from the "not so good" -:brightidea:

Cheers -

Why did I start this site?  I thrive on getting the bad guy. I thought I could make this site and make some money. First, by charging guys for the info. Decided against that. Then by asking good agencies for a small fee for giving them a good review. The offers I got were from agencies that I would not feel right about recommending, so I decided I had better carefully check out each and every agency before putting them on my Gold List. This is why it grows so slowly. I had so much fun when I started, I kept doing it.

I have no beef with anyone personally. I do not work for any agency. I am completely solo. Am I biased? I like good agencies and promote them, I hate bad agencies and promote them in bad light. Is that biased? I White List any agency with a good record and no serious complaints against them. I Grey List agencies with many complaints against them or agencies that practice unethical ways of business. I Black List any agency that has serious infraction complaints against them, or are flat-out obvious scammers. I have chosen a variety of different agencies for the Gold List. Address sellers and small, local agencies in different areas of the FSU to help guys better. If a good agency wants to advertise on my site, I let them. I have had this advertising page on my site since day 1.  But I have turned down many bad sites who offered a lot of money because I am honest. I will never trade money for ethics. So, am I biased? I guess so, I like good agencies and hate bad agencies. And since an agency is only as good as it's owner/director, there are some agencies that could use improving because of their owners. But I never bad-mouth a 'would-be' good agency because of it idiot owner. I am always honest.

I have removed a few agencies from my Gold List because of complaints against them and have no problems doing it. My biggest fear is Black Listing or Gold Listing any agency who doesn't deserve to be on that list. I have also removed many agencies from the Black, Grey and White Lists. I make mistakes. Agencies change. Lies and misunderstandings are frequent on the net. And I try to take everything into consideration and be fair to everyone.

How do I work my site? When I get complaints about agencies, I weigh the seriousness of the complaint, the manner in which it was reported and investigate it as best I can. I cannot tell you how I do this because that would be arming the enemy. I have a list of standards (some complaints are minor and some are major), but all agencies are equal when it comes to these complaints and standards. I have sent emails to Gold List agencies asking for explanations, and the owners get very upset and send me scathing emails. I have no favorites. I have unfavorites...agencies that conduct shady business. (So, I guess I am biased after all.) One lie about me is that I put anyone on my Gold List who pays and Black List anyone who doesn't. Well, I keep my Gold List to about 10 good sites. If they (or a White List agency) want to pay for advertising, fine. But it's ludicrous that I allow anyone on the Gold List. And are White List agencies also paying me? What a dream! But another lie. And if anyone can tell me a Black Listed agency that shouldn't be there, let me know. And when I have received news of wrongdoing at a Gold List agency, and find that it is true, I remove them. Period. The guys thrashing me for my Gold List are the competitors of the agencies on my Gold List. Think about that.

Hi Killer

As you know from our PMs, I am not a big fan of agencies, either.  And I go for the contact info immediately.  I met a couple of nice ladies through A-Pretty and I found them very helpful.  In fact, they tracked down a couple of women in Crimea for me after I bought the addresses (for $5 each) from a $15 a letter site.  The main office is in Mariupol, I think - so they are good for Crimea.

You can "tickle" a woman for 2 Euro.  You can write to her without buying her address for 6 Euro.  You can include contact info and I have gotten telephone numbers (my favorite) in the first letter back from the ladies for 5 Euro.

Pretty cost effective if you ask me. And I like their website - the way they post your sent letters, received letters and your account info.

David

Hey David -

Sorry for the late response - It's been a crazy week!

Thanks for the thoughts on this agency - as well as your PM's on other topics we've kicked around - Hopefully now you see I'm not into "fishing" (wink, wink, nudge, nudge!)

Anyway, one reason I'm a bit leery about "A-Lady.com" is that I seem to get about 5-7 "letters" a day from "interested ladies"... Now granted, some are over my requested top end age limit (they're like 40-45) so that for sure tells me they're not reading my bio... And that goes for my low-end too - 24 is my stated cut off, but ala Confidential Connections, it never fails that I get several mails from a few 18-21 year olds (I'm 42) So I dunno what to make of it all (i.e. AnastasiaWeb scam mails? Oxsana Love "letters of introduction"? Cindy's Agency etc?) - So, we'll see how it goes... I have my eye on 2 - One is on "4-Russian-Romance" and the other is on A-Lady - so am split on how best to pursue (if at all)...

Alright - It's late - and need to call it a night!

Thanks again for your help - and will let you know how things pan out!

Cheers,

KB

I did tell him (agency Scams) of several sites who should not be on his gold list etc, with proof. but he either ignored my letters, or tried to cover up with spurious excuses.
He is the biggest fraudster in the whole bride business  If one sets oneself up as an 'authority' on something then you not only have to be impartial but SEEN to be impartial, and Agency Scams is most definitely NOT impartial. There are many other things I could list here, but it would only bore members. Just take my word for it, NEVER trust Agency Scams opinions. Beware of 'Gurus' in any shape or form. !
