Think I'll stick to golf and bowling      :o
My adventuous days are behind me now.
But it sure looks interesting.

Everyone should do what makes them happy for sure  :)

I know lot's  and lot's of golfers who enjoy that more than anytrhing else.  That;s awesome.
I never found golf to be relaxing, or entertaining. In fact, it is an activity the tests my patience and gives me more stress. I am not sure why but, it does.  :)

Arrived home yesterday from London, where I was attending the first few days of the 2012 Olympiad.

It was awesome and I wish I could have stayed longer.

There is a special energy that you can feel very strongly at the olympics.  I have not missed one yet, and I will attend all of the future olympic games as well.

I want to congratulate Oscar Pistorius who Just finished 2nd in the Mens 400m  and will advance to the Finals.
The amazing feat of a man with no legs just boggles my mind.
This man has No Legs,  has worked his entire life to be able to compete against able bodied men without special consideration. He had that chance today, and He proved that he is every bit as able and fit to be an olympic athlee as the dream of winning gold has puhed him to greatness and I hope he  will prove that He is the Fastest man alive at 400m.   Legs or no legs, he just kicks ass.

Having some fun Jumping with my buddies.  This is parachute and Paragliding.  The last jump we used the small cells and caught a serious thermal as we flew over the ridge. It was awesome :) Felt like a rocket was pulling us straight up when we should have been falling. We got pretty excited about that  :)

Check it out
Enjoy :)

I love Wingsuits :)  When using a wingsuit on a base jump, once you hit terminal, the suit starts to deploy and you can actually  FLY.
That's why I can jump from a cliff 2 miles from the beach and land right in the parking lot of the hotel   :)  Freaking Awesome :)

Post 181 has a video that starts with a european guy explaining to me that it's okay to jump when he says okay. but not on the the first okay , okay?  2 okay's, okay?  okay.  :)

Then a wing suit jump from a mountain top over 2 miles  from the landing site.  I am not telling where this was but I think many of you will know. :)
This was the freaking most scared I've ever been in my life.  The cliff below was only about 400 meters horizontal then it levels out, If I did it right the suit would take me horizontal at terminal speed, that can take various amounts of time but I did the math over and over and I was convinced I could pull out of vertical before I hit the slope.  The jumper before me was testing how much time there was to hit terminal, he called on the radio and said it's pretty close but It was up to me.
The other thing I needed was to figure proximity and track the cliff to maintain enough altitude to safely pull and hit my mark.  I was scared to death, but I knew I could so this. watch and see If I was right.

On to the next site. Some urban Tower jumping and showing off a little bit :)
I took my Step son with me and He is fast becoming am accomplished jumper.

in post 180 we arrive home in the USA and stop off for some fun in some secret places.
My step son is a great kid.  But on the long  flight home he was going on and on about wanting to go to a spot I said I would take him one day when he was old enough and he had to have 100 safe jumps with no screw ups and good stand up landings. When in Europe he went over 100 and I told him, ok he earned it, we would go. Then for some reason he called me a bitch when I would not let him have more than 1 beer on the plane. It was a friendly joke but I taught him better than that, or I thought I did. it's cool.
So we get to the site ..
the video starts with us on the exit point ....
I told him to pull high. ( it means pulls your pilot right away, no free fall )  he said, why?  I said, Because I said,  bitch :)   lol
Anyway,  then we cut to the jumps of the weekend..
At the end,  you see the Jump he has been wanting to go on for so long. We do it and when we land, I have never seen him so excited,  LOL   He kept on like that almost all the way home.  :)
that is why we do it.  For that feeling right there.  It's unreal. it's perfect. Like being a kid again.

He and I talked a lot about his mom.  How she used to do things. How cool she was. How she felt about jumping. He asked me if I still think about her much. I said, I do. Every day I do.  He said, yeah me too. It really sucks that she's not here  with us.  I said,  She is here with us. She is in you. You are her flesh and blood, and whenever you forget that, I will be here to remind you.  He asked if I ever plan to go back to Russia and visit her family again. I said, I haven't planned anything, but I think that would be a good thing to-do together if that is what he was hinting at.. He said, yeah..  Let's do it. Soon.
His grandmother, aunts, and uncles, and father all still live in Moscow so I will be making a Trip someday soon.  I think he is old enough to go by himself but his Dad is pretty unpredictable and I think he feels better If I am around. Plus his dad seems to behave a little better when I am present.  I think the man respects me a great deal, and while I don't admire the choices he made, I have never been anything but civil to him. He is the father after all and just because he did not take part in raising his child, he will always be his father.

:)

So Olly . . . in which city did you work at a Playboy Club?

Jason,

I'm new here, in fact I only planned to read the forum, but couldn't but express my feelings on your story here...
There's no justification to what she did. I'm personally ashamed for her. So many people are telling how great and family-oriented Russian women are, and the girls like this ruin the reputation of the whole nation. A shame indeed. And you are an example of a real man, generous (here I mean not the one giving money and stuff, but the one forgiving those you love) and dedicated, although definitely too kind and trustful. I do wish you all the best and to find a great woman you deserve, not less!

Little_D,
Welcome. Nice to have you here.
Wow. :)
Thank you for the kind words, that means a lot to me.
I honestly don't believe that she is a bad person. I do think her moral compass is in need of calibration, but that has no bearing on where she is from. She is not a typical person by any means. Nor am I for that matter. I am no Angel.
If I am indeed too kind and too trustful, well..
I think I can live with that.

Thank you, I am keeping my eyes open for great women always :)

Please feel free to introduce yourself, tell us what brings you here beyond reading my sorted adventures  :)

Sometimes I think that giving a woman money is the worst thing a man can do.
RW are taught to work hard, don't spoil them or you'll regret. She'll regret too though...

Thank you Jason for the good story. It made me look at the relation with my ex AM from a different angle.
You seem to be a nice guy :) Hope you'll meet another woman that will take your breath away.
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined.
