question to techies, is there a reason that my posts get this additional size formatting?

Beeeeel to the rescue! How are you, Beeeel? Long time no see! I've been getting the same spontaneous HTML size inserts in my posts! It must be some sort of an SMF ghost having fun!

Hey Edward

I use google chrome, it seems to happen most often after I hit backspace
to keep the columns at a consistent width.

If you look at the word "often above" originally I hit return there. Then I moved down
and hit back space to make the column a little bit wider and that's when it happened.

I usually try to keep my posts neat, (to make up for my abysmal spelling
and grammar)

Attention techs you gotta admit that's annoying. I could go
back and clean it up but surely there is something else at play
here.

Bill if you're creating your posts in another editor such as Microsoft Word or some other product when you copy and paste the post into RWD your post will not necessarily default to the font size and style of RWD.  On some other forums I have no problems moving a post from Word to the forum's editor, the Word created post will automatically default to that forums font size and style but not on RWD.

Also if you copy and paste some words from a website onto RWD the pasted words will often remain in the size and style of the original website. The problem obviously originates in the settings for the forum editor on RWD.

I always type my posts right here, no pasting and still get the same font size error

I type and create 99.9% of my posts right here. Once in a while I will copy something
from an article or from a webpage, but mostly I just type everything up right here.

I use Google Chrome too but Look at the difference  in my formatting

Bacspace

Works normally and the Size tags are defined as  Point not Percent.  Like this...
Code: [Select]
14
36

Are you using a Font other than the default?

could you please explain what other formatting you use when you notice this condidtion?

I have never even messed with the font or size, I just click reply and type. The most I ever did was select part of the text and clicked the BOLD button to highlight it. This "Size" thing is freaky because I can't even see the HTML when I'm typing/ I just see that suddenly the text becomes small but there is no way to fix it by deleting the HTML that somehow gets inserted in there. Once it is posted I can see the HTML and can go back and edit the post and delete those size parameters.

You might be on to something. I have to, from time to time jog back and forth from Safari to Firefox for like problems. No excuse or reason one will start acting funny as the description here. Try just changing browsers for awhile

I think those type have gone out of style in favor of aluminum magnesium alloy types.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.
