So guys, I spent most of of 2011 in Russia along with the first part of this year.

Russian girls seem to not have very much loyalty. I was in Russia most of this past year and girls were cheating on their husbands and boyfriends with me left and right, even girls who I would never expect it from...  My girlfriends always treated me as if I was their husband and they both were very loyal to me after we created a relationship, probably because I was a decent looking American boy. I met both of these girls in a hospital. Both told me "no, I'm single" and then later I found out both had boyfriends at home. I have many many stories when I hooked up with random girls too.

Also, I think it's a huge misconception that all Russian girls want America or out of Russia. There are many that do, but most of the girls I talked to only know Russia and love it and have no desire to relocate. I think the time of most of the girls wanting the heck out of there is long gone. I had 2 very serious relationships while I was there and both girls asked me to move to Russia for them.

another misconception is all Russian girls want your money. When I left to America the last girlfriend I was with was going through really difficult times financially. Many times she bought me food, put money on my phone, I even asked her to buy a present for my roommate and when I tried to pay her, she refused. I also bought her things too but when I left I told her I was going to give her 10k rubles, for me, that money is nothing but I knew it would help her a lot. She refused and wouldn't take it, we actually quarreled over it. When I got home, I sent the money through PayPal to my friend and told him to give it to her and if she wouldn't accept it to tell her either she keeps it or he keeps it.

If any of you guys have the opportunity to go to Russia, I would deff go.. These girls fall in love so fast and you will probably instantly make a connection. You will also be a celebrity, which at first is flattering but eventually becomes very annoying. At the night clubs it's usually a circle of girls around you and everyone asking for pictures, or girls offering to buy you drinks.  I remember one night I went out with 2 girls I shared a flat with. I needed the bathroom and when I was washing my hands, some random girl came up hugged me and told me in Russian I was beautiful. I said thanks in English and they were in awe. I chatted with them for a few minutes then another girl passed and just stared at me, I told her she had pretty eyes then me and the 2 girls went to sit. I only chatted for a few minutes because the girls I was with started giving me thumbs down. I went back to my table and literally sat down for one second and was taking a shot with my roommates and the  pretty eyed girl from the bathroom was bringing me  a shot. She ended up pulling me back to my table and buying us like 7 or shots. The spetsnaz raided the night club to check passports, so with the music off and lights on, all eyes were on me because I was the American guy. This girl would not get off me, everyone was watching and she was sucking on my neck and kissing on my ear. I was too drunk to really care but I still kinda cared. Anyway, so yeah if you have the chance, go to Russia and you will have a blast.

So 39 year old women were in "awe" of a 27 year old American? Now that's hard to believe.


Here's my take on it; you find what you look for. Look for Teenage, and Tweenage party girls in nightclubs that flock to your side in "awe" and that's exactly what you'll find; immature girls out for a good time. Sleep with girls with boyfriends and you'll find yourself a cheater. It's not rocket science. What isn't clever, is to tar all, or even the majority, as such.

I'm not saying there aren't women that behave that way, as there are in most countries. I'm just saying that your average RW won't be acting that way and to characterize them all like that, which your first post certainly seemed to be doing is, at best, inaccurate.


Why did you get the attention you did? Perhaps you're just a real hunk. Or perhaps a novelty? I know that, without a doubt, some of the women you describe were far from classy. Few men want to marry women like that. Screw around with, yes, perhaps, but not marry.


I tend to go in periods of 1 week. Been through Moscow, SpB and Arkhangelsk. No villages though so my Britishness has never given me rock star status like yours.

Women in clubs are usually there to hunt men. And foreign men are more interesting, as it is less likely their regular boyfriend or husban will meet them.
Do not worry about the guys, while the women are in clubs they are in the other club chasing other women.

It seems a pretty accurate description of the young generation that hangs around in clubs.

The OMON sure, I was in a hotel raided by the OMON many years ago and the OMON are sent out when there are protests and the like. But the OMON are not the spetsznaz.

It's just that I've never heard a (straight) 27 year old American refer to himself as a 'boy' before.

Yes, but in reading the two articles you cited, there is no mention of the OMON spetsnaz, just the regular OMON forces and the uniforms and insignia of the OMON in the pictures are not that of the spetsnaz OMON just the regular OMON.
