Questions from a Russian lady...Looking for some feedback....

Hello to all,

A girl I have been writing for a few months sent me these questions. Of course, I have my honest answers in my mind, but I was curious to hear how other guys would respond to these questions. And ladies who read this forum, what do you think of these questions? Keep in mind that we are just friends, and I will be meeting her in person in Russia in 2 weeks. She writes thru an agency and uses a translator, she is 21, 5'8", slender, never married, no kids, good looking and a college student, not that the details would matter, but they are here for your info.  All feedback and your responses to these questions are appreciated. If you think there is a trick or a "right" answer o these questions, say so. With that, here are the questions;

"Now I am going to give you some interesting questions and expect you to answer them.

You are walking to your girlfriend's house. There are two roads to get there. One is a straight path to take you there quickly, but very boring. The other is significantly longer but is full of wonderful sights and interesting things. Which one do you take to get to your significant other's house, short or long? 2. On the way you see two rose bushes. One is full of red roses, the other full of white. You decide to pick 20 roses for your girlfriend of any one color or two color combination. What number of white and/or red do you pick by the count of how many Red would you pick? 3. You finally get to their house. A family member answers the door. You can have the family member get your girlfriend or go get them yourself? Which would it be? 4. You go up to your girlfriend's room, but nobody is there. You decide to leave the roses. Do you leave them by the windowsill or on the bed? 5. Later, it's time for bed. You and your girlfriend sleep in separate rooms. In the morning when it's time to wake up, you go into her room and check on her. When you arrive, do you prefer her to be awake or asleep? 6. Now it's time to go back home. Do you take the short, plain or more interesting road?

I like it...  here is what I would think.

1 -  on the way there.. the quick path...  cause you want to see her sooner

2 - roses..  19 red to symbolize the love. 1 white.. don't know what the white would mean but that way you don't have an even number.  Maybe you want to give 1 to her mother.

3 - Family member.  because you got there early by taking the short route and would not want to impose on her if she were not ready to greet you yet.

4 - Red roses arranged on the bed.. white rose in a vase in the windowsill if mom doesn't have it.

5 - Sleeping... cause it is always so sweet to watch a beautiful lady as they sleep.

6 - Now is the time for the interesting path...  so you can enjoy the walk and reflect on the good times you spent together.

Hey.. but I am a guy so proably got all the answers wrong!  So you might want to do just the opposite on each one to be safe!  Sounds to me like you have a bit of a romantic soul in your lady.  My guess is that any answer to any of the questions is fine if you have a good reason for it.. and she is probably more interested in the reasoning than the answers themselves.

I remember that elen.  The question did not say the lady was from the FSU.  Here even numbers are fine.

Ive seen parts of this before its a psychological test.  For example if you take the short path you are supposed to be lazy and uninteresting.  The "correct" answer to that is the long path going home and short to see her.

 

The relative or you going to get her is about how you will treat her. The "correct" answer is you go.  otherwise it signifies you expect others to do things for you.

Make no mistake she is testing you and there sre definate right and wrong answers even if you think you have justified them.

I like the idea to test guys in this way...  But tests don't work if some guys ask advices about answers. This is psychology!  Answer very quickly and you will see what will happen. :dude:

Yes Dragonfly you are right.  I see men here who have been married for many years and are still trying to solve the mysteries of thier wives. 

Of course they seem to enjoy doing it and I think that is true with all women or the book Women are from Venus and Men are from Mars would not have been so popular.

I read the first two chapters a long time ago and they made a lot of sense.  If I could find it I should read the rest.  Not that men ever understand women but it did have a lot of insight.

I agree.  I met the guy at a seminar and oddly enough I had my book with me after he signed it we talked for quite a long time.  I do recommend the book because men and women think differently.

I gave you the honest truth about the ConMan Connect agency in another post here (Everyone has heard of this agency)....So now here is the scoop on the PSYCH TEST.......Let's be honest....Psych Love tests are not the best way in picking a mate. The meaning the answers have for the person who wrote the test, are not the same as why many guys choose the answers they choose. My advice to the lady; Don't use a Psych Test to pick a mate. I have a girl friend who was a Psych major in college, and she always tries to analyze every move a person makes....Very frustrating sometimes, and often a waste of brain waves..... True, for people who have big problems, Psychology is a way to help a person thru those problems, and to figure out what is going on, but not to find your future husband....PLEASE!!! With that, here is the Psychy Analysis.....

Psychological Personality / Love Test: Analysis   
  1. The roads represent your attitude towards falling in love. If you chose the short one, you fall in love quickly and easily. If you chose the long one, you take your time and do not fall in love easily.

2. The number of red roses represent how much you expect to GIVE in a relationship. The number of white roses represent how much you EXPECT in a relationship. Therefore, if a person chose all red with one white, he/she gives 90% in the relationship but expects to receive only 10% back.

3. This question shows your attitude in handling relationship problems. If you asked the maid to get your loved one, then you may beat around the bush, maybe asking a third party to intervene. Avoidance of problems runs high. If you went and got your loved one yourself, then you are pretty direct. If there is a problem, you confront it and deal with it. You want to work it out right away.

4. The placement of the roses indictate how often you'd like to see your boyfriend/girlfriend. Placing the roses on the bed : You need lots of reassurance in the relationship, and you'd want to see your loved one every day, if possible. Placing the roses by the window show: You don't expect or need to see your loved one that often; seeing them just once in a while is OK.

5. Finding your boyfriend/ girlfriend ASLEEP: You accept your loved one the way they are. Finding them AWAKE: You expect him/her to CHANGE for you.

6. The short and long roads now represent how long you stay in love. If you chose the short one, you fall OUT of love easily. If you chose the long one, you tend to stay IN love for a long time.

Sorry Daknak, not my answers...This is a common Psych Test that is used everywhere. I clearly stated that I did not agree with using Psych tests for the reason that different answers have different meaning to different people..... Ive never seen that analysis, Ive seen it done another way, although Ive not seen everyone of these aspects in the example.

I also agree using tests is pointless.

I'm curious to see the other analysis that you read. For the heck of it, I researched this and found all the same results. For more, type in "On the way you see two rose bushes." and you will get hundreds of results in Yahoo or Google search.

One last comment, I agree with you 100%, the test is, for the most part, pointless. But why would a Russian lady give this to a guy she may be interested in? Perhaps her being in college and getting her dose of Psych classes is one reason. Who knows? Later..........

[/quote]Ahhh, now you have solved the mystery of why we all disagree so much here.  Even the Russians can't figure the Russians out.  Maybe we can get John Grey to do a sequil.   "Women are from Russia, and Men are from America"  It would be a big hit but he probably could not figure it out enough to write the book.

Was in a book somewhere I am pretty sure.  Ill take a look see if I can dig it up.  Problem with shrinkery is 2 exact same tests can be given with 2 totally different conclusions.
