Entering in the European Countries by Poland
« on: May 06, 2012, 02:46:21 AM »
It seems to be that the easier and less expansive way to cross the border and enter in the Schengen space is to to do it by Poland. Visas are easy to get for few weeks, several consulates are available in the ukrainians big cities.

For what i know your lady needs afterwards to get a connecting flight from Poland to your country, it is cheaper than a tourist visa aiming your directly your country. It can be also a refreshing solution for US guys who aim an intermediate country half way in anticipation of a meeting. The first dream of FSU girls is to find a beach  ;D but they are also very interested by the old western Europe (and there are also a lot of beaches in Europe). The cost of a month visa seems to be around 500$ (don't knowing which it includes exactly) for what i know.

Any additional info would be appreciated.

500 bucks??? sounds very wrong.
I got french visa for like less than 100, is Poland that much more expensive? If so, screw poland :P French visa is also super easy; took them 1 day to give me a multi visa  in a clean passport

Polish tourist visa costs 35 euro.

You do however need to show a certain amount in your bank account to cover your expenses while in Poland.

I do resent the fact that most people never question or think for themselves. I don't want to be normal. I just want to find some other people that are odd in the same ways that I am. OP.

I have given not enough information, in my mind 500$ included visa, and the trip (at least hotel an perhpas travel) for one or two weeks.

What does a "certain" amount look like in $ terms?

My wife and I had our first meeting in Warsaw 9 years ago.

The Mrs' K-1 interview was in Warsaw in 2000.
We both liked Warsaw.
Her later 2009 visa to Poland was about $40 [I think]
The application went to NYC embassy.

Well, I'm not sure  that "Polish visa" makes traveling from Ukraine, say, to France less costly.

That's for you to decide, though   :)

My concern is not about cost.It is about what is required to qualify to get visa issued.

In general I would say that a country which is a tourist destination is easier to obtain a visa from as a country that might be used for immigration.
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)
