This statue was erected as a memorial to those Ukrainian soccers who won the Match of Death.
It is standing inside START Stadium and is facing the stadium's main entrance gate.

1. 1962: Hungarian Két félidő a pokolban (Two Half Times in Hell), also known as The Last Goal, directed by Zoltán Fábri.

2. 1981: US  Escape to Victory, directed by John Huston:

Its cast included actors Sylvester Stallone, Michael Caine and Max von Sydow, as well as famous former players of the time like Brazilian Pelé, British Bobby Moore, Argentinian Osvaldo Ardiles, Belgian Paul Van Himst, etc.
