Thanks.  Here is the deal. I operate it maybe 10 hours per week. The other guy...30-40 hours. It is only the hydraulic fluid that overheats. It goes into "danger" mode and idles down the engine.   The engine runs at normal temp.

Both the other operator and myself bring it up to the boss...but it seems it falls on deaf ears. We both know it is not operating properly. So....now we just run it until it overheats and then idle it till it cools down enough.

Since it does not appear the boss wants to hear about the problem and potential repair costs....when I hear it make noises....I just turn the radio up.

I would quit before I had to run it with the heater on full blast.

I will let you know what I find out.

You did your part. What is guaranteed is damage. Overheating can break down the oil, seals and hoses. When everything starts leaking and the boss has to shell out $40+ for 5 gal of hydraulic oil every hour, he may reconsider getting things fixed. He should price out a valve body and pump.

One other thing that can cause overheating is a bad relief valve letting too much fluid bypass where it's supposed to go making the pump work harder.

I will let you know what I find out.

Keep in touch, I'm curious to what your problem is since I may learn something new saving me some money.

Big day tomorrow. Mother in Law is arriving. Got lots of plans for this next month. Going to take her to the horse races, Washington State Fair, and cruise around Western USA visiting national parks and spending a few days in Las Vegas.

I bought her a ticket for a 5 1/2 months stay. Hopefully the homeland security border agent at the airport gives her the max 6 months stay. The rules have changed and they can dictate how long a tourist can stay in America.

My girl has lived here for 4 years now and never been to the Puyallyup Fair so I'm planning on taking her some weekend this month.

They changed the name of the fair but it's still one of the world's largest and a must do.

MIL is in the air and on the way. I may be back to ask advice on how to remain in charge of the house when MIL is living here. I predict she won't be a problem but helpful around the house. My wife says her mom is a better housekeeper and cooks better.

You might as well accept the fact that your kitchen is no longer yours or the wifey for the duration of MIL's stay.

On pg 3 of this thread, I find it humorous and entertaining and somewhat educational.

Agree with some BB's observations but not all of BB's choices.  My take:

1) we are all weird

2) BB is weird

3) BB's critics with the exception of GOB are mostly wrong and BB is mostly right.

4) TY supernan for keeping a politically incorrect thread selectively correct

Going to try and finish the rest of this letter.  But I enjoy reading your POV even with my reservations

Sandro, you should know better than to say ridi pagliaccio...

Sandro, you should know better than to say ridi pagliaccio...
Actually the name of this famous tenor aria from Ruggero Leoncavallo's 1892 opera Pagliacci (Clowns), sung at the conclusion of the first act, is "Vesti la giubba" (Put on the costume), although it's better known by a folllowing verse, "Laugh, you clown" ;).

 Recitar! Mentre preso dal delirio,
non so più quel che dico,
 e quel che faccio!
 Eppur è d'uopo, sforzati!
Bah!

MIL is cooking and cleaning everyday. She makes my wife look like an amateur. My wife is an amateur when it comes to those things. My MIL also made up some house rules. Less time on the tv and computers and more family time. Even my own kids behaviors have changed for the better.

MIL asked me if I'm okay with her rules and I told her I know she's going to make my wife a better woman and wife and improve family relations so I'm all for it. MIL has criticized me for since I'm too messy for her taste but I have a good excuse, I told her "I'm a man."

Tomorrow we are heading out on a two week road trip through various Western states to see national parks and Las Vegas. I'll post some photos when I get back.

Last weekend I, A(my wife), and MIL finished our road trip visiting national parks, Las Vegas, and attempting to visit national parks.

A few weeks before our trip my eldest son left one of the doors open in the house and our dog Lulu got out and got lost. After searching till 1:30 AM in the morning, we got some sleep and searched again. Unfortunately Lulu passed away after getting hit by a car.

My wife was devastated. My mom and her mom thought it best I get another dog quickly while my sister thought it best to wait. I didn't want any emotional drama during the road trip so I bought a puppy Chihuahua for A. It worked since the puppy, named Cookie, needs lots of attention.

Since Cookie, the dog, needs lots of attention, the ladies thought it best to take the dog on the road trip too. That limited on where we could sleep for the night and of course Cookie, the dog, sometimes defecated in the car.

Photos of Cookie, the dog, and Crater Lake National park below. We experienced bad weather at Crater Lake and didn't get to experience as much as we'd like to.

I have not been to crater lake in many years, nice photos.

Looks like you picked a real jewel for a wife.

But what did she pick for a husband? In the past I asked her what she thinks of me and she says I have a good heart and stops talking there. I guess she doesn't want to feed the ego by giving me any more compliments.

After Crater Lake we drove past Mt. Shasta in California and stopped in Yosemite National Park. We viewed some of the forest fire that happened a month ago outside and at the edge of the park but the best parts of the park are not damaged.

Most of the tourists travelling through the park happen to be European. There were bus load after bus load of foreign tourists.

A couple of photos of A and I on the edge of a rock with the Half Dome behind us. At one time in the past there were 1000 feet of ice on Half Dome and a few thousand sitting on the valley below.

After studying the map I estimated we could see both the Sequoia National Forest and Death Valley in one day but I figure it's best to wake up at 4 AM and start driving early to get it done. The ladies protested and said they prefer to sleep and if we must, skip over the trees. I told them I'm doing most of the driving and it's dangerous to get caught in the parks at night driving around sharp curves and cliffs.....especially after I've been driving 12-14 hours. I made the decision to see both the forest and desert and after the ladies got to experience some of the biggest trees in the world, I got kisses for making a good decision.

Unfortunately the road that enters Death Valley from the SW was closed due to a recent flood that covered it in sand. We had to go around and didn't arrive in Las Vegas until near midnight.

Here are some photos of us and the trees. In the third photo I'm standing next to General Sherman, the biggest tree in the world based off trunk size. There are bigger trees around and taller trees but this tree has the most board feet of wood. I'm actually standing far away from the tree and if they allowed people to stand next to it, one would see in the photo how much smaller I am compared to the tree. In the fourth photo is a bear. I was looking on the ground for bears since people at the forest have spotted some but all I had to do was look up.

At one stop I seen an elderly lady struggle walking downhill to get back to her car. I offered her my arm to assist and she gladly took it. My wife and her husband didn't mind, since he could barely walk down the hill himself. I learned they were from the Netherlands and have visited America a few times already.

No. You are hot and we love you :welcome:

But...seriously...I have a question. Now I have not read all of your previous thread. You have posted that your wife says you are ugly and that you have a good heart.

How often does she tell you good things? Without you asking?  How often does she tell you she loves you without you telling her first?
