Hello from the deep south,

I'm a newbie and don't have clue where to start. I've read some of the articles and postings and starting to wonder if Im in over my head. I'm interested in a foreign bride, not a trophy but attractive and appreciates what she has and can be content living a simple life. I'm not having much luck with american women. Am I in the right place? I don't have clue  what kind of money is involved to do this or if I can even afford it, though some of your articles has given me a starting point. I'm 56, widowed and was thinking of an age between 35-45. Am I being realistic? Just needed some insight before I start getting serious.

According to what several RW told me in the last couple of years, the trend in Russia is actually - younger guys look for a woman with a good job, an apartment and a car. She supports him while he doesn't work, enjoys life and plays on the side. A good number of women settle for this kind of arrangement because their options of available men are somewhat limited.

Well, i can imagine some women who are involved with younger guys are indeed supporting them, and those ladies may feel that they are settling. However, what i observed during my last trip to Russia were different stories. None of my friends who date younger guys supports their younger partners. Each guy is working and having his own car. The only difference is that the women in these relationships pay for themself unlike it happens in "traditional" relationships where the man is expected to cover all expenses that result from the joint time spending.
 
Another point to address is the feeling of settling. Those ladies sure do not come across as settling for the younger guys. They are choosing them among plentiful alternatives, and their  options of available men are NOT limited. I know it for sure because i was trying to introduce them to some of my male acquaintances who are really good guys. Yet, they rejected those guys. Girls would not reject them without consideration have they felt they are not entirely satisfied and are rather settled.

I can only report my experience. What I have been observing is that the most attractive RW (9s and 10s) are not very responsive when WM contact them. One really has to contact quite a few to get one or two replies. But even if they do respond they quickly loose interest unless they know that the guy will be visiting in a couple of weeks or so. I guess they have a lot of other options and are being chased after by RM along with European men so they prefer a face to face contact asap so to not waste time on a long correspondence.
On the other hand the rate of response from 8s and below is still quite good and they don't mind waiting 2 or 3 month and getting to know a WM on line during this time.
VWRW, would you say that your friends are very attractive and can be considered 9 or 10?

No, i would not say that they are 9s or 10s if we consider their facial features. However, they take a really good care of themselves: They have slender bodies, are well -groomed and well-dressed and have this air of confidence around them. They certainly look better than an average RW of their respective age.



My point is that women choosing younger guys are not necessarily settling because of their limited option. According to their own opinion, they simply prefer the malleability of younger men and especially their mentality, their views on the roles of men and women.

I was speaking to my beautiful wife about this topic at the dinner table VWRW and she corrected me immediately.

When I was asking about dating 70 year old Russian Men in Russia she said: "It is impossible Rick! Most Russian Men are dead before 70".
