ok, my fiance is on her way to Moscow, she has the K-1 interview on the morning of the 30 August.

We are both excited and hope all goes well.  We have double checked all the documents.  I am going in with a co sponsor to be on the safe side.  We practiced the interview questions and think we have everything covered.

If all goes well she is going to travel directly from Moscow after she receives the visa.  It should only be 10-14 days before she is her with me.

After that we have a whole lot of wedding planning to do, but first we are going to have a little fun in the USA with a music festival and a baseball game.

More to follow......

Wonderful news, Kmin...  I'll save the actual congrats for when she has her visa in hand  ;D , but as long as you have your ducks in a row it is highly unlikely that she'll be denied.

I'll never see a K-1, but hopefully in time there will be another wedding in this part of the world as well (all the other members down this way seem to be married already!).

Yes now the real work begins, however now we will be together and it will be fun work for the documents and planning the wedding.   We are fortunate in having the same laid back, relaxed attitude for the wedding.  A simple one in nature (mother nature's cooperation is needed) plan B is inside where reception would be.

All the trees will be in full fall colors and we have some amazing natural parks in my area.

I have made very good progress of cleaning the "bachelor" out of my house.  I basically clean everything and did some painting.  Organized my place.

I am so excited, she will be here in a few days.  It is a good time of the year also with the warm dry weather, fall colors, and upcoming holidays, it should be a real fun time for us.

My guess is, you haven't even begun to get the bachelor out of your place to an acceptable level any way.  ;D Prepare thyself.

It's an exciting time, lots to look forward to. Remember, patience, patience, patience and heavy doses of surrender on your part are helpful

You won't need her birth certificate again for the k-1 or AOS but tell her to bring it and other documents. Copies won't do. You may need it to get her a driver's license early. Our government is slow issuing out id cards.

 :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

ok so last week they say K1 approved, give passport and will be ready in one week.

My fiance has waited in Moscow and still no visa, status check by email doesn't work. Still not done and don't know when it will be done, if it is not done tomorrow she is going to go back to Krasnoyarsk to wait, because Moscow is not fun place for her.

She doesn't know anyone in Moscow, no internet, no TV, no computer, etc, it has been a long hard wait in Moscow.

Oh I hoped so much she would be here by this weekend, there is music, camping, festival we so much wanted to go to together.  It would have been very nice for her.  She could have met a bunch of my friends at the last festival this year.

Now if the visa is not ready tomorrow, I think it will be at least one or two more weeks to wait (3-5 days added to ship to Krasnoyarsk, plus any remaining processing times.

The waiting sucks, but this last couple days, no few days, no few weeks......  is driving us crazy  :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:, we just want to be together so we can get wedding planned.

We were also thinking about getting married the 1st week in October (great time of year here with fall colors), in an outside wedding.  If she doesn't have the visa tomorrow, that date will not work and we will have to get married inside sometime in November or December.

They did say yes, so we are just waiting on process, but it is driving us crazy to be so close to finally being together....... and still having to wait more. :wallbash:

I know you are upset and venting Kmin.
But you really need to start practicing now (before your RW arrives) what I told you up-thread:

:D yes, I know, but sometimes it is good to vent.....  and like a long run the last little bit is typically the hardest.  We are just so tired and want to be together.

Apparently there is a saying I heard from my daughter in her line of work that might apply here kmin "lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part"

Seems like you were trying to put 10 pounds of poop in a 5 pound box. Maybe didn't plan on the visa wait. IIRC, my wife's visa took about 10 days to arrive in Siberia from Moscow.

Why the rush?  You  have 90 days . . . yes?

The Rush is this is Minnesota and it is going to get cold fast (our preference is for an outside wedding)  We can have the wedding first part of October or first week in November, otherwise it will get very difficult.

Conflicting schedules, other weddings, holidays, deer hunting, etc.

We are thinking about the first week in October, the leaves will be in full fall color and the weather should be dry and 70f during the day.

This is not a reason for a rushed marriage.

kmin,

Some men use the 90 days as an opportunity to get to know his fiancee better.  That is not the intent of the 90 days.  The 90 days is suppose to be used for planning the wedding, etc.

It is good that you are already convinced about your future bride.  I say to proceed with the outdoor wedding among your frineds and family.  Among the long list of items that you must accomplish for the wedding, don't forget to buy her a new dress for the actual wedding.

We are having a great time.  I is so wonderful to finally have her here with me.

Now that we are together life is wonderful, we have done many things in the last few days.

Today we are making some bread from scratch together.

Our wedding plans are progressing nicely, my next door neighbor has helped us out for decorations and she is going to take my fiance shopping today for some shoes and a wedding dress.  We have the rings picked out, food, locations for wedding and reception, the date, and my suit.  Now we need to confirm, reserve, and send out invites.
