 Also Ryan Rainville was one of those arrested and held in jail for three months before being released into house arrest at a Native men's residence in Toronto called Sagatay. Throughout his court proceedings, Ryan proudly proclaimed his anarchist values and defended the use of property destruction during anti-capitalist protests that weekend to disrupt the economy.

To be fair I could not find out if they had to re-holy the church. I would imagine they would have to as they got onto Altar. It's Orthodox, you see, a bit more serious religion that what you used to probably.


Misha it was discussed earlier in the thread what they did perfectly fitted appropriate Article in the Criminal Code. They tried to be martyrs, they should be pleased with the results. They are now famous political prisoners, great beginning for a dissident career.

Really?  two years for this BS? My Gosh, I think the Russian Orthodox Nikon Church is not only has been corrupted but has been rotten for centuries. To me it is not more Holy but elementary business making money.

More and more I think that the true Orthodox followers in Russia were old believers who preferred to stay away from politics and luxury leading the ascetic life and criticizing Nikon's Church...

So, how many years I deserve in prison?  Or should I be burned alive as the old believers in the Nikon's time?

Ok, for those who don't believe in God and don't go to church and don't understand other people's feelings. Let me put it this way. Imagine that your family member has died and you are having a funeral ceremony. In the middle of it you can see pussy riot jumping on the casket singing their songs or having sex with a frozen chicken. Nothing is destroyed.

Would you consider that to be an offense? Or it's just fine with you?!

I am now Orthodox and do attend an Orthodox Church. As concerns the women being on the "altar" they were technically in front of the iconostasis where people can technically stand and where photo ops of athletes and others were taken in the past...

Olga I do not care, I am an atheist :-)  Or Buddhist may be. However millions of Orthodox worshipers think differently and church is the place where they supposed to worship in piece. For them Church has become unholy after four stupid girls sang their stupid song on the Altar. If they did it in a Mosque they would probably got harsher sentences as it's somehow even worse for moslems.

These girls are on the bad way , if you pay attention to their age it's even worse, because at this age they are supposed to have some wisdom. Their parents obviously failed at raising them good people, so the country has to do it now, and I do think that 2 years is a lot but I don't think that a simple fine would prevent them from doing what they do now.
They  can't be worse than they are now, so hopefully life in prison will teach them something new. I will not be surprised if many years later some of them will understand what they did and will end up with being a nun.
the good thing is that the kids will not be raised by immature irresponsible  moms for 2 years' time.

After cases like that when moms are sacrificing their little kids for orgias in churches and supermarkets you really start believing in God and devil.
