Kiev : where to meet women

Hello, i am going to Kiev last week of Augustus with à friend. Can someone give advice about the places to go to meet ukrainian women ? Thx in advance.

But, some guy here on RWD awhile back said he had some success at McDonald's in Kiev?

IIRC, he was looking for an older lady and he was approaching Uni girls at McDonald's and asking about their Moms?!?!?

Statistically, about every other person you see in Kyiv (not Kiev) will be a woman, so you can meet them anywhere.

However, I wouldn't advise relying on trying to pick up and develop a serious relationship by approaching women on the street, in restaurants, night clubs, etc.

Sure it can be done, but try to obtain some insurance by developing some contacts with females BEFORE you arrive in Kyiv or anywhere.

A little late now, but hit hard the free and monthly dating sites mentioned in FSUW 101 in the Starting Section.

Depend what women you want to meet.

There will be several women in lobby of hotel and in bars for expats.

Find some on internet and make dates before you go. They can show you friends if not what you like. But maybe you have gone to late for that now.

Go any place where you do not hear a lot of English.
They will know you are a foreigner so if some woman openly smiles at you, you can approach her, it is still not usual to smile "like an idiot" at everyone.

I often strongly suspected that the hawker did not even resemble the girl in the picture.

Try talking about Bombay in India as a good way to make friends.

I try to give maximum respect to each country.  Ukraine is a country and it wants the spelling to be Kyiv and Odesa.  Yes, I know that Putin and his friends want something different.

My personal favorite is Запорожье.  Zaporogje or something. I will start collecting spellings soon. Although Dnepropetrovsk is good too.

LOL, never stuck that but I did, in almost every Russian city, have the telephone ring within 10 minutes of checking into my room offering 'company'. Probably the highlight (or lowlight depending how you see it) was one 'lady' arriving uannounced at my door, when the greetings were over and I refused her 'offer' she instantly peeled her dress open top to bottom, in an effort to change my mind. The only conclusion I could draw if these girls knew who was who and in which room was, the reception staff and management were right in on the action in the background.

Of course.  In Kiev I got a phone call while unpacking and settling into my rented apartment.  She was a manager of an agency, and came to my apartment about one hour later.  She had two large binders with photos.  One had photos of pretty women with wordy profiles.   The other binder had photos of sexy women with not more than 10 words about age, breast size, options, etc.   This agency manager was ready to serve all types of men.  For sure the apartment rental agent informed her of my arrival.

Ranetka,  Запорожье just happens to be my favorite name of a Ukrainian city as well! Haven't you ever wondered how this name came about? I've heard 2 versions:
1. derived from a combination of 2 words: "За" (beyond) and "Порог" (threashhold or doorstep) so in effect the name means "beyond the threashhold or beyond the doorstep"


2. derived from a combination of 2 words: "Запор" (constipation) and "рожa" (a slang word for a face) so in effect the name means "constipated face"

Both versions may have some truth to them, but who knows!?
