i suppose you have read up a bit about how they usually are conducted ?
take all your docs with you again , & id suggest you ask them if there is anything ales thye require or are missing ,
it is a good time to re check with them in person ,

the information we recieved from the embassy case officer and interview staff , was different &confusing as to what my wife  needed to bring to the interview ,

however your interview is in moscow at the australian embassy correct ? so it will be easier for you as all your aplication information/case file   is already  in the one place at the embassy

just a suggestion . if you have them , take copies of all your notarised important documents ,as well as any other evidence you have  of your relationship with mr x   you will be ready to provide them if needed ,

olly do you live in moscow or are you travelling there ??
if you live there , it will be easier to supply them at a later date  if they ask for something ,

our experience was they had lost a key doc , and it was only at the interview that we found out , my wife asked if they needed us to supply anything else for the application , seemed they had lost her police clearance !

our case officer was good , but our interview was outside of moscow ,

id suggest be prepared for the interview, have a study session with MR X ,via skype  if you can .
 by study i mean , just re visit all your info  you have sent them already in the application , mkae sure you know all his details well  , simple things like his middle name , how to spell his surname , his address , etc, his family , his income and what he does exactly etc,

sounds like simple stuff, and you probalby know it all already , but it very quickly shows how well developed the relationship is to the interviewers when/if they ask you ,

they will also ask questions in both russian and english , possibly swapping from one to the other
if your prepared a little it will be easy ,
anyway , best of luck , im sure you will do fine olly

I live not in Moscow. All my docs and evidences are in embassy. Now i try to remember names of all his brothers and sisters (7 persons)

hope all goes well for you tommorrow 

just afew thoughts based on our experiences, you have probably already planned well ,
however, my wife did the train trip , arrived with plenty of time to spare, booked a good room , showered TRIED to have agood sleep the night before, re read all info , had agood breakfast, gives you stamina !!
arrived 40 mins early to her appointment time , i called her just before she went in , global roaming phone , gave her my love and support, made her laugh !!!

after the interview i called her again for 30 mins , to give her my support and love again, talk over how she felt the interview went !!
by doing so she didnt feel, tired or alone , helped give her confidence &moral support ,
ask you man to do the same if you havent already
best of luck im sure it will go well for  you , be quietly confident !
the visa is usually granted within 12 weeks of the interview , so you should be in oz by early march or sooner with luck and good planing

good news is you have completed it !! & probably succesfully well done , 

it is an intimidating experience , especially on your own in moscow

dont worry about the officer being abit agrressive , from all our experience &of other couples we know  this is not unusual,, they seem to want to be sure if the relationship is real ,
was there 2 people at the interview, ??  one was a bit more quiet, the other the main interviewer ?? swapping from russian to english ?

did they advise you olly if they needed any other dcuments etc ??

if all seemed to go well , in about aweek or so , contact your case officer and just re check they have everything they need [ just to be sure they have it all ]

have you done the medical checks already ??

if they advise you they dont need any more information,the file /application is complete &  nothing is missing from your file , expect to wait somewhere between 4-12 weeks for a notification of the result on your visa grant ,

you might be lucky and have a reply before xmas , but id expect it to be late jan /early feb , given they will close for xmas new year etc
 
im sure you will be successfull olly ,

Hi all! Some news!
With medical check i was not so lucky and they said i need more tests (this extra tests took 6 weeks). Just yesterday all tests was finished (im ok and healthy) and they have sent it to Sydney. I don't know how much time we have to wait a visa.  Hope not more than 2 months.

We are late for our wedding (23th Feb) and changed date for April. But in 2 weeks we'll go to Thailand to meet each other!!!!
