Anyone apply for the K-atonok visa?

We want to bring our beautiful daughter over too.  Hair and personality like Mama, demonic eyes like Papa..

She has all shots and documents for travel..  I take it those records will need to be translated?  Is there a quarantine after arrival?  Anyone else bring a pet?

I refuse to give her away (she lived with me on both extended visits... she's definitely a daddy's girl through and through).    This is new territory for me and I have no idea what the process entails..

Depends on how far Papa roamed.

Sorry Daveman.
If she was Russian I could talk you through Sheremetyevo airport.
There is an old bag veterinarian on the second floor and I know her BS protocol quite well.
All I will say is a crisp $50. tucked inside of the cat passport will take care of all problems.  ;)

I brought my new puppy home from Russia ( Moscow). She came from a breeder so the papers might be a bit different. I had to show these papers BEFORE I got on the plane and get some stamps of approval ( aka a bribe to Lt. Col Nurse Crachett). the pup rode in the cabin with me. At JFK, I went to the animal quarantine section, showed them my papers. All in Russian of course. The guy looked at them said "what is this", to which I replied "her papers". After a minute he told to go and make sure she had her shots. Guess he did not want to deal with it.

My pup did not have a passport or photos. Just laminated papers. Since her parents were international grand champions, she was considered a "national treasure" and I had to hid her papers from the customs people on the Russian side.

One month ago, my Wife brought a kitten from: St Petersburg, Simferopol, Kyiv, Warsaw, and Chicago. Yes, he has a pet passport and all documents about his health and family history.

No one person asked for any papers. Several people looked into the cage. You have to pay a fee to bring a pet on board the airplane and make arrangements ahead of time, like when you purchase the tickets.

Every airlines has their own regulations and fees.
