hey Southern how have you been
all good on my end playing the waiting game still
other than that all good .
got an email from moscow yesterday after 1 month of no response from case officer and numerous emails stating that our case officer is on extended leave and someonelse is responding for her
she said that application is close to finalisation and they contact us once it is finalised

im hoping thats a good indication that we are very close and not something that they say to ease pressure off them

with all the xmas/newyear celebrations , it is usual that all visa issues/comunication will slow from them ,

the case officer told you march originaly didnt  they izzet ??  so it will probably be pretty close to the mark

be prepared for the news , how is your lady holding up , is she ready to go ??  as in has she made as many last minute preperations to leave as she can at this stage ??

it will come soon enough ! ;) ;) ;)

good luck , im sure it will be good news

adele

hello & welcome , im assuming you are in a relationship with an aussie ? and your case officer is at the australian embassy in moscow ??

have you direct contact with your case officer ?or did you sign contact over to any body else like a visa agent etc ?/

has you asked your australian fiancee to call the australian embassy in moscow and talk with her ,or email her direct asking  about progress  this is possible most of the time if you are worried etc

do you have any reason to ask exactly about her ??  it may be with xmas /new year they gotten behind or are on vacation , their work usually slows in dec/jan it seems

Hi and thanks for your reply.

I applied visa in Moscow as a family member of New Zealander.  still haven't got any details for medical examination , just silence for 2 months. it's a kind of strange for me, so decided to ask people about their experience, to get more hope for luck.

as I understood they prefer to contact by email with them, but it seems that it's really better to call and ask directly.
Good day to everyone and thanks for info:)))

oh well, my story seems to be long-winded one:)) no idea how long it'll take. I wonder, if officer will get us know if something is wrong and it'll take longer than 3 months time?

I applied visa in Moscow as a family member of New Zealander.
To be clear, which visa did you actually apply for? The New Zealander is an Australian resident?

On that basis, my guess is you'd be on the bottom of the list, particularly at this time of year. Hopefully they won't stretch you till after June but I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

Generally, they won't respond to emails or letters unless there is something they need or want to know and they don't seem to appreciate phone calls although they will, at times, answer them and provide broad indications.

oh well, not good news to me, I thought that it'll be only 2-3 months as it is mentioned in processing time on their website. i wonder, why such applications are in the bottom?

Hi Olly,

My fiance and I just applied for the fiance visa on the 1st of Feb 2013. Our case officer name is also Yulia. I was wondering if we have the same case officer. Ours is Yulia H. If this is the same person can you please tell your experience with her so far? We were reading other forums and came across her name actually and there was negative things about her which makes us alittle more than we already are.

I told her to just wait alil bit longer and see if she does in fact reply.  If she doesnt reply, shes just going to call into the embassy. The other fourm was on another site:  http://australia-ru.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=4588&st=20 Also, did you do your medical or interview first?

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH  :clapping: :clapping:

well done !!  yes it is abig load of your mind , to finally get the visa grant news , i remember it well  lol

now the serious work really begins however for you both !!!

stick around , im sure over the next few months /years , you will find there are more questions you will have possibly ,

so are you flying to meet her and come back to australia with her , or just meeting at your citys airport on arrival ??

if your able to meet her even halfway & fly home to australia with her  it is a good way to start of together ,  ;)

olly , im sure you will be next , it must be close to a decision for you guys as well
