I'm very good looking ,in shape and have no truble getting women the problem is the women in the U.S. are well you men already what they are. Ok so now on to my question. I have been researching this MOB thing for a while now. I finally just started writing a lady from Kiev Ukraine. She 27.I started writing her on AFA web site. The fees are not cheap to write letters and I am being very careful. I have only wrote 2 letters to her and in the 2nd letter I asked if I could have her contact info so we could write directly.  Now she anwsers all my questions  in my letters so I believe it is her who is replying to me. She did say she does not have access to the internet on a daily basis. Is it true that not everyone has access over there? She also said she doesn't speak English so it would be difficult to talk. I just want to know what you guys think cuz I really don't want to write her through the agency as it's expensive. She lives in Kiev do they not have access to the internet and do they not all speak English well? Thank you for your input I'm new to this and just want to protect myself from going broke , I understand this is a expensive adventure but I wanna keep it limited if I could.

Not necessarily internet access, but for sure the phone.
One woman recently told me that her company shut off the internet access to the office and she has to go to the internet cafe or post office to rent computer/internet time.

I don't blame you for wanting to get off the pay per letter sites.  I started that way and after spending a few thousand, I got away from them entirely.

You have a couple of choices.  Join some of the pay per month sites that are recommended on this forum.  They do not restrict exchanging of contact information.  The pay per letter sites are a scam and oftentimes you cannot even get the direct contact info because they want to protect their income source for the letter services.

Choose women that already know some English. It is a huge advantage!
Move them to email and Skype as soon as possible.

Even if they know very little English, you can get by with using a translator program for your emails.
Yesterday I installed a Skype add on that was free.  It is called Skype Translate.  It works so well, that I am now having trouble getting her to quit chatting so that I can go to work.  I previously used Google Translate which was cumbersome with the cut and paste.  This program is automatic in slecting the language and does a pretty good job of translating.

For the past year, for emails I purchased a rather expensive translator program that has a 'translate back to Englsih' feature that allows you to make corrections if the translation does not make sense.  It is called LEC translator.  I worked pretty well , but was still a cut and paste exercise for Skype.

Skype Translate works so much better for chat I can't recommend it highly enough.

Good luck...... dump the pay per letter sites!!

Wow thank you you guys for responding to my post. Yea I read about the pay per lettter sites and I fianlly got caught up in it. I only payed out less then 100$ so far so it's a lesson learned. The reason I was on AFA was because I'm plaining a trip to Ukraine and I feel I don't speak the language well and I throught my first time going a romance tour would be best as they take care of everything, flight,hotel and such. It's funny because if you go on the site and look at the social videos from Ukraine Dec 2011(Swept away), the blonde girl with the really short hair was the one I was attempting to contact,she in the buging you can't miss her, take a look shes super hot but then again they all are lol. In her profile it said her English was Fair so I was assuming she could communicate.Hmm well back to drawing borad thanks agian fellas!

Many men fall prey to AFA.  Yes, it is too good to be true.  Fortunately, you learned this early.  Some men spend thousands of dollars chasing the fantasy of AFA and other pay-by-letter sites..
 
This indicates you have a good head on your shoulders.   I guess it is the LE training, knowing to be careful because there are many bad people out there.  I believe you will do well with RW if you prepare properly.   Spend some time here, read some of the archives, study the 10 Commandments and other guidelines, and contact some RW via a more reputable site.
 
BTW another RWD member is in law enforcement.  His handle is something like Crazy Bear, and after a long period on RWD he found his bride.

Don't bother with those romance tours as most of the women on these tours are either pro-daters or prostitutes or worse!!!!! Don't be in such  hurry to go over there without doing some serious reading on this site!!!! Believe me, you'll be better off for it.

If you do decide to do a romance tour there is only one worth while and that is the one run by Jack Bragg and his website is www.FirstDream.com   Stay away from the AFA and Anastasia tours.  Jacks are a bit different.  I have taken three big agency tours and one of Jacks.  You can read some of the comments doing some searches here.  There are some pluses to a tour for the first trip particularly if you have not traveled much overseas. 


Don't waste any more money on AFA.  There are some good sites such as Elena's Models which is where I met my wife.  There are other good sites and reading here and getting the experiences of the other guys will be the best thing you can do.  Another option is to have someone like Eduard help you.

Jason, she probably has no idea that you wish to contact her privately. Any pay for mail agency will never translate that for her, if she is a real lady, that is.

Get every ounce of information you know about her and use search engines like Yandex or even Google to see if she has a presence somewhere not paid.

At this stage since you don't speak or write Russian how do you plan to communicate with her if she is real and you can get her off site?

Depends... if you use very basic English with no slang at all you will be able to get away with basic communication. if you are trying to have an intelligent conversation, let your sense of humor and personality shine you should expect about 30% understanding, 30% guesswork, 30% you will understand in reverse from what she meant to say, and 10% WTF just happened???

you really can't get to know a person using "Me Tarzan, you Jane" type language. It is important for you to know a woman well before making serious, life changing decisions. It is equally important for her to understand who you are, your personality, your sense of humor and your quirks (we all have them). People who go into marriage after only using electronic translators are really gambling with their lives. Surely it can work out well on occasion but a good number of people become disillusioned and disappointed once they live together for about a year, the woman learns English and they finally learn to communicate.
