Remarriage seems to be about matters of convenience, not about matters of love and creating a family.

I contend that remarriage is most inconvenient and were it not for the lure of love and family creation, anyone who'd been married once and was still in their right mind would never go there. It is far more convenient in the modern world to remain single if one is divorced.

One learns to walk by falling and getting up again, learning to do better next time.

It's all a part of life and I can't say I regret the experiences of any past marriage - they were all good for as long as they lasted, few if any regrets on either side of the fence.

Bee Farmer, without getting into the previous discussion, your user name prompted me to say that you'd fit in if you every travel to the Russian countryside. Bee keeping is a time honoured tradition in Russia and give the vast expanse of forests and fields, the various flavours are incredible. Most monasteries for example maintain extensive bee keeping operations making both honey and bees wax candles which are used in churches. Many country dachas also keep bees.

It's comparable to when roads become covered with snow and ice.  Anyone with half a brain sees the other vehicles that have wrecked, and they learn from others mistakes.  They change their driving if they feel the vehicle slip or slide a little.  Only a complete idiot continues to drive normally on the snow and ice covered roads, wreck after wreck, with the excuse that one only learns how to drive on snow and ice by wrecking over and over, learning to do a little better each time.

  I don't know if you had picked up on it, but I originally came here because I was looking at attending a beekeeping conference in Kiev this upcoming fall.  Apimondia is an international beekeeping conference which is expected to draw in over 12,000 visitors to Kiev.  It is supposed to be the largest industry event in Ukraine history.

In America, about 1 out of 2000 people are beekeepers.  There are 2.5 million bee colonies here.  In Ukraine, 1.5% of the population are beekeepers, and there are an estimated 3.75 million colonies.  (Russia has 10 million colonies.)  Ukraine is the number 5 honey producing country in the world.

I have read that beekeeping was one of the factors that enabled Ukraine to be settled originally.  Petro Prokopovych invented the movable frame hive, and is considered to be the father of commercial beekeeping.  Ukraine has a rich heritage for beekeeping.

I wonder if one of the reasons for so many people continuing to keep bees in Ukraine is due to an individual being able to produce a retail product in an occupation that is difficult for corruption and the government to get their fingers in.  When people are starved for financial opportunity to better their life, it does make a person ask themselves why the beekeeping industry is able to do so well in an environment that suppresses capitalism and free enterprise.

Perhaps. The soil of Ukraine, once the "breadbasket of Europe" certainly provides for a wonderful variety of plants and flowers allowing the bees to produce some of the amazing flavours. As you travel thru the Russian and Ukrainian countryside you'll encounter small hives cultivated by individual farmers to some of the expansive bee operations by the monasteries.

They can be used in so many ways that it is worthwhile to learn such an art form.

first of all you need to be able to drive , presently you are like a proffesional back seat passengar who has no drivers licence , but is giving his expertise to the current driver of the car in snow and ice , advising him what he must do to avoid a crash

wake up to yourself man , until you take a step up and be the honorable man you claim to want to be & take  your own marriage vows for better or worse and actually live 24/7 with another independent human being you love and wish to spend your life with , through all the day to day issues ,

 you dont even have your licence yet , let alone driven on snow and ice by yourself in a car,,, the whole idea of it frightens you 

 but you know  how to do it perfectly already hey 
basically your just deep down scared of the risk it involves i reckon , to place so much trust in another human being for life ,

Congratulations on being married for 10 years.  It is an accomplishment and I hope you and your wife stay together for another 20-30.  We are all looking to love and be loved and your example of one who has gone through tribulations to arrive at happiness is a testament to the true human condition.  We only go through this life once, so even if the your first or second effort was not successful, you have persevered and now are rewarded.

This is a summer photo of the republic of Abkhazia, sandwiched between Russia and Georgia. You can see the bee hives in front of this old home. Abkhazia is wild and beautiful, home to the "new afron" monastery (the original Afron is in Greece) and nearby this home is lake Riza, one of the most crystal blue and clear mountain lakes in the world. Joseph Stalin had many dachas (summer homes) and one of his favourites was just above the lake on the mountainside.

One point on bee farming.

My Gal's parents have a fairly big bee operation, even though it is not their primary work.

I, like most of us, thought that bee farming was kind of a leisurely activity, except for the stinging.

However, she related to me the time and numerous steps involved (which she helped with) and I came to realize this is quite a difficult and arduous job.
