Not true.  Your first trip was very valuable even though you came away empty handed.  You are a  sensible, practical and direct man, and you would have taught yourself eventually; RWD sped the process.    I really appreciate your  style.   Such IMO is ideal for a FSUW relationship.  Yet listen to what Vasilisa had to say about being flexible. 
 
You look like a rugged defenseman who kept the center and wings away from the net.  You mention Duluth and South Dakota, miles apart.  So I am confused.  I traveled some there such as giving some expert testimony in Fargo in the 1980s and getting my face and voice all over TV news.  At another meeting to the east, the brother of Russell Means (of AIM) had some young native Americans  dance before the hearing committee.   Good times.  I came away liking the hard working Minnesotans.

 South Dakota was just for work. I tell her the weather everyday along with temp. in Celsius.  I want her to understand as best she can where and how I live. The last thing I want to do is give her false expectations of my life. You have given me excellent advice...as has Vasilisa. She was the first to tell me to narrow my search to women who speak English. I am not offended by her advice to me.

 Today on Skype "M" was concerned about my facebook page....as the photos were not visible to her. Turns out I still had everything set to "only me" I just need to be on Facebook to read other websites....as Facebook is not for me.

 Anyways she wants 'the world to see us" so I changed my settings. However...I am normally a private person and I have revealed far more on RWD than I have anywhere else. To me there is an unwritten code here or should be. Experienced members give valuable advice..and newbies share their stories.  It is the best way to keep the site lively and interesting and both parties receive something out of it.

Unless you're one that doesn't sleep good over things like this, I wouldn't have mentioned the profiles you both have up. Yours and her profiles need to be taken down without being told. If you don't see hers going down, take yours down first and see if she follows your example.

Good day For a long time I read this long and so interesting story. I found a lot of reasons to smile and interesting information about Russian and Ukrainian women. And the view of the American men I read with pleasure
I have a few words about this:
1. Many have written about the "red flags" at a meeting of our Hero. But no one was surprised our Hero cheated too - he was driving to a meeting with a few women and did not tell about it to all these women. I always thought the truth must be on both sides. And I'm not surprised the first woman did not open her heart to him. Any woman would be surprised if a man will pay $ 1,000 (the plane) for a meeting in half an hour. If such a man would offer me same meeting I think he's doing a tour of the country to meet with many women. Why do I need such tourist? But this woman was very polite woman. And I agree with John - many women are open own soul&heart when they feel peace of mind with him.
2. Our Hero made a lot of mistakes and he could avoid many mistakes. He must to have a long chat, check out these women in social networks and the Internet too. Fast communication helps to passion. Prolonged communication helps to fall in love. And do not make many mistakes!
3. I read the whole story, and I have not found many answers - a very important answers about Eve - a child, her family, her job. Our Hero was three times in her town and could not get this information. It is strange for our hero and Eve.
4. I am a lawyer and I know divorce is not a long term process, even for people from two different countries. If a woman gets divorced 10 years, it must have a very big reason.
5. I read a lot of discussion about money and expenses for the trip. Ukraine and Russia is not the most backward country We use the internet and have a bank card We can buy everything with these cards Any foreigner can find information about our prices if he / she wants to find it- about taxi, food, the traditions, the gifts. Everyone can facilitate and secure on their own journey.
6. I read with sadness about the reasons for the preferences of American men (Ukraine and Russia) depending on the money spent on such a search. I think men are looking for a woman for other reasons I guess I should feel an inferiority complex if I live in Russia Or should I be able to wait when one of the men would not be so important.

I'll wait for the continuation of this story But I do not see a happy future for the couple.

You are correct, but there is more to the story.  This thread should be retitled as First second third timer headed to Ukraine.  Lonedrake met Eva during his first trip.  He took a second trip just to meet her again.  The second trip ended badly, and he broke off all contact with Eva.   
 
Just before returning home on his second trip he communicated with a new woman living near Kiev.  They did not meet. However, he started corresponding with her.  He had learned much from his first two  trips even though he came away empty handed.  He thought about what he wanted, and decided to make a third trip just to meet the new woman, the woman in the photos.  So far, so good.
