Expanding my horizon!
« on: January 11, 2013, 10:14:26 PM »
First and foremost i'd like to say Hi to whomever reading this!
Since I can remember I have always have had a fair interest in cross-cultural learning and I do believe that by learning from others we can get rid of the invisible barriers people seem to overlook when going outside their own country.

I'm 24 years old and I am currently studying a Bachelors Degree in International Business Communication and I am also graduated within International Marketing Management and sales. But mainly I joined this site in order to obtain a different view from where I come from.

Okay, Bro,

This is real life.  This is not a college feel good class.  If you're sure you're ready for it, contribute, be honest and learn to take criticism.  Your first response is that this is a site for enhancing relationships between FSU women and WM (of which you hopefully are).

Many of the men on here have been here for years and have gone through relationships with FSU women and are now married to them.  Others, like myself, are either dating, looking to date or in a relationship with an FSU woman and hoping to glean some advice as to what works and what doesn't.

If that is your cup of tea, welcome aboard.

I've got my reasons to as why I would join a community like this.
And no i wasn't expecting to find a "college feel good class" - However during my time as a student i've been encountering a lot of Lithuanian and Latvian people both males and females who studied abroad (in Denmark where I was raised and where I have lived for all my life) as I was a mentor for most of them and they became personal friends in the last end..

So my interest grew for especially Lithuania and the Lithuanians and i tagged along on this site because i hoped to learn about customs etc before going there.

Welcome aboard!

Lots to learn here although maybe you'll learn more about yourself than about other cultures.....

Lithuania and Latvia don't get much discussion here anymore and are generally regarded as "over-fished" or not having as much FSU/CIS-W potential now that they are in the EU.

You will find a few members live near you, particularly in the lowlands and Scandinavian areas. A few [members] are FSUW and can give you some clues as to how the FSUW are as they get a bit beyond the university years group you mention having been involved with. As Jone mentions, some of the men are married, a few are even divorced or on their second FSUW and others are in the fiance/dating/searching/exploring stage.

Read a lot and don't be afraid to ask questions. Some of the folks here have useful information and all have a perspective.

Best of Luck!

Welcome.
Lithuania and Latvia are in a desparate struggle to remove themselves from their FSU roots, even if a large part of the population still is Russian.
there for while researching one of the first things is to find out how your friends are placed in this. It may not make a huge difference in customs, but it certainly will make a difference in a lot of discussions.
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)

Good evening.  Could you be a little more direct?  I didn't understand your comment.  And as of now, the number is 280.  (I think.)

As for hurting my feelings, it takes a little more than a few insults to hurt my feelings, so - if you're in the mood - have at it.

As for the RUA, I really only have time for one forum, and this one is much, much better than the other.  Don't you agree?
