Hey!

I'm new to this forum, and i have a question..

A couple of years ago , i registered at www.russiancupid.com , but i didn't use much energy there... Although, a couple of times every week, i get mails saying that someone is interested and i also get messages, which i can't read, since i'm  not a paying member.

I dont know if the site is serious and if the girls are real, so i am asking about your experiences with this site?
If its a scam company, i will end my account there, and look for another.
It would also be nice if someone can recommend a site that is serious.

Welcome aboard Baron,

RC is a pay by letter (PBL) site which encourages scammers.  The more you write, the more the company makes money.  It is possible to meet someone on a site like this but the likelihood that you are going to get scammed is very high.

Opinions vary regarding which site is the best, but there seems to be a consensus that Elena's Models is one of the better ones.  But in all honesty, you need to read the introductory threads that describe how to use MOB sites by ML.  It gives you a list of those sites which are pay by month and give you unlimited access.

Spend an hour or two going through the scammer threads and you will learn a lot about scamming and how to protect yourself.

Good luck.

No, Jone.  RussianCupid isn't a pay per letter site.   This is pay monthly membership.  You pay, say $30 a month for unlimited letters.

This site isn't a scam, though there are many scammers there as well as many genuine.  For a small fee $30 a month, I am sure that he can afford to use the services

Yeah , thats true.
I remember now, that it is a pay pr month membership, and many of the girls look kind of "plain" and normal, quite different from the obvious scam-sites where the girls looks like supermodels.

Well, i will think about giving it a try.

Exactly, but with ElenasModels they have their make-up done, hair done, using professional photos.  With RussianCupid, you are seeing real-life women

Any site that sends out mails to a non-active account that women are interested is suspicious. Regardless if you pay per letter or per month, if you get contacted regularly but have to pay before you can read the message, there is a large possibility they are fake.
There are legit women on Anastasiaweb as well. But if you have to consider that there is a huge possibility the sites actively cooperates in sending out fake messages, I feel it would be best to stay away.

I met 2 of my ex-girlfriends in ColombianCupid.com which is a sister site of RussianCupid.  There are risk to take, but pay per monthly is far better than pay per letter!  Few of others have found their love via "Cupid"

Pay per letter = camera with film
Pay per monthly = digital camera

Camera with film (old fashion), you pay all the pictures including rubbish shots
Digital camera, you choose which to delete and which to keep

There are legit women on Anastasiaweb as well.

Still you are paying, say $10 per letter.  How many women before you found her.  Let's say after 35th,  you have spend $350 already!!

With Cupid, even if it is twice as hard as Anastasiaweb, let's say after 70th women within a month - still losing only $30

What if after 1,000th woman????  $10,000 to spend!!!!

Do you think being scammed for $30 per month is better as being scammed for $10 per letter?

I don't think you understand.    READ his topic!!!  He asked about RussianCupid.

RussianCupid is no different from ML's lists.    Sites like AnastasiaWeb should be avoided because they are pay per letter site.  You are paying to open scammers letters as well as letters from genuine women.

With RussianCupid, you are paying monthly to open any unlimited letters regardless who the women are - scammers or genuine.  You are paying only $30 for unlimited letters

Read MY answer. Any site that sends out questionable unsollicited messages from women is not to be trusted.
Just because you were scammed in to using it, and there are legit women, does not mean that a site using such practices can be trusted. Too many alternatives, and too high risk that they allow other scams as well.

Met my fiancee via a pay per letter site. Total investment to meet and separate her from site for normal email and phone connection was $62. She was only the second woman I contacted through the site in a month of searching. The first woman was also genuine and promising, but did not have quite enough English for me.

If one is normally adept at communicating with women, the site doesn't matter. It's up to your own personal discernment, and good luck, to find your promising prospect, separate her from agency or site, and begin developing a personal relationship that leads to the mutual desire to meet.

If you have to write 35 women, you are not choosing your initial contacts very well, or your profile is not attractive enough to appeal to the intelligent women with standards.  ::)

I don't agree that it is evidence, in that on both RussianCupid and ElenasModels, I have received mail from women, even though I am not at the "gold" status needed to be able to read and respond.  Both RC and EM require you to pay a flat monthly fee in order to read and respond to letters.

Not necessarily in the case of EM:

Want to contact only 1 woman?
No problem! Open her personal page and click on the link "Email me", and then select the option to buy 1 contact credit for only $15. This will allow you to exchange UNLIMITED mails with the woman of your choice (or buy 10 contact credits for $49 to exchange UNLIMITED mails with 10 women).

Russian Cupid is indeed a monthly pay site and just like ANY dating site your are going to encounter scammers. Most likely, the e-mails you have been getting on Russian Cupid are Nigerian/Ghanian scammers who are too lazy to view the profile and just send out e-mails through the website. Real members of the site would most likely have read your profile and seen that you are not a gold member and cannot reply to e-mails.

Hi My name is James Croft.  They are making too many fake profiles, plus they charge you automatic without refund. The money that I have paid is actually not big deal but It comes from pocket so they have to do their responsibilities and give us satisfaction. Again,  Everyone! please be careful because this company russian cupid is fake. Make sure you cancel your membership as early as possible. I have been there for one year and till now,  I did not find anyone after paying and that's the mostly creepy! Never, never, ever in my life go russian cupid again! It's a scam don't trust. :naughty:

They started doing it about a year ago.  Before that, they do not automatically do it.    Thank you for reminding me, I'll cancel the membership for the LatinAmericanCupid part as it is due to be expired next week

JUST CAME BACK FROM Cupid

All you need to do is:

Auto Renew my membership?  Yes  /  No    in   "Billing" section which you probably hasn't done it.  You probably did not aware, and I wouldn't have aware it also.
