Cold war training of dolphins at Sevastopol

There is an intersting TV show on the History Channel that describes the history of the Russian military training and use of dolphins during the cold war.  For those that have read the history of Sevastopol or been there, the film adds some additional info about the area.

Apparently the Ukraine Navy has recently revived the military use of dolphins as seen in the second link below.

IIRC, the US Navy, too, trained dolphins for military use:

The U.S. Navy trains dolphins and sea lions under the U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program, which is based in San Diego, California. They get some of their dolphins from the Gulf of Mexico. Military dolphins were used by the U.S. Navy during the First and Second Gulf Wars.
