Best love declarations on American screen wanted!
« on: May 14, 2013, 11:26:27 AM »
Hi dears,

I would like to ask you to post here some links on the best love declarations that were ever shown to the English speaking audience. Just want to see how does it go in this part of world, although I am sure that there is no big difference in the cultures. Sincerity of the declarators, and strenght of their feelings is a must.  ;)

Here is a great one:

I also like the declaration scene in the American Beauty, where the character of Kevin Spacey tells his affection to the gorgeous Mena Suvari. I have the film, and did not found this scene on youtube to illustrate.

My special interest would be to watch the female characters who do that in front of the strong silent type of men  ;D   So far, something in these series was shown in the Italian 'Bisbetico domato'.

Da, da, Canada; Nyet, nyet, Soviet!

Here's my nomination, from the ending of "When Harry Met Sally".  He lists all the things he loves about  her:

And for singing it, you can't beat Elvis Presley with this song:

John Cusack played a lot of 'love&proposal' roles over the years. One of the ones I liked was in the movie High Fidelity.

He also played one opposite of Kate Beckinsale in the movie Serendipity, which I though is a better movie overall...Yeah, partly because of Kate.

Of course, the more popular one was Tom Cruise's Jerry McGuire/Renee Z in the movie, well, Jerry McGuire...the popular Renee line, "Stop. You had me at Hello!".

But tops in all of these, and from an ordinary American is a guy named 'Matt'. Gotta leave these to guys with named 'Matt' to make things memorable for the ladies...
