One has to wonder how this bullsh!t effects them?
Probably not very well.  :(
But who cares?

From Aloe's post on another thread, it sounds like you may be called upon to "man up" and follow through with your previous offer of help.

The young lady has apparently had enough of being thoroughly abused by one of your "wonderful" male Belgium citizens.

My wife and daughter were on LOT flight LO 751 (operated by Hi Fly Transportes Aereo) on 6 May 2013 from Warsaw to Kyiv, arrival time: 13:45.
I have been trying to call their cell phone, but someone answers who does not speak English.
Today, I finally got through to my wife!
I have learned that the landing gear did not come down and the plane made an emergency landing!
My family was in the hospital and just made it to their home town. It appears a nurse answered their phone and did not understand anything I was saying.
PLEASE! Does anyone know or can find out what happened with this flight?

 Well.....Is everyone ok?

Wayne . . . when are you going to give us an update on what you have found out about the real story in this matter?

You could not find anyone who spoke Russian for ten days? Give me a break.
Not to mention being unable to learn some basic Russian before while having a Ukrainian or Russian wife…

I hate it for Wayne. The dude has had a run of bad luck already and this one doesn't appear to have a good ending for him either. It would be nice if he came back with an update of the situation

He's online here right now as I write this...I hope that this has not ended as badly as seems possible at first sight.

Let's see, he wrote: "I have been trying to call their cell phone, but someone answers who does not speak English. Today, I finally got through to my wife!" It is certainly implied that he did find anybody capable of speaking to this mystery person for ten days.

Voyager didn't seem to get it.
ML didn't seem to get it (too literal).
Misha made a typo ("he did find"), but second guesses that Wayne actually tried to find a Russian speaking person.

I will side with Stirlitz.

He believes, as I do , that after the 3rd or 4th day of not being able to communiate with the non-English speaking person answering the phone, Wayne should have enlisted the support of ANY Russian-speaking person he could find to make the call.

Yes, I made a mistake. It should have been "didn't find" here.

Hey, at last we are getting a lot of action  here in this thread.

So I must continue this by defending myself.

Wayne said he couldn't find English speaker.
But Stirlitz chided him for saying he couldn't find a Russian speaker.

All the rest is just BS.  I was and am absolutely correct in my nitpicking.   8)

We can end the speculation about Wayne's post about the 'emergency landing'.   It turns out that his wife played a joke/prank on him, not knowing that he would react the way he did.  I am sure it was embarrasing to have made the post, read all the help and then find out it was a bad joke.

Let's wish them the best in their future happiness (hopefully without any more pranks).

The message was sent via an electronic translator.

The electronic message read:"I just played prank for 10 days"
When it meant to say: " I just played Frank for 10 days"

Accent not captured.
