When I was in SPB in February, I saw a stunningly beautiful young woman  working construction. She wore a pair of shapeless brown bib overalls  and a tool belt, had grime on her forehead, yet I stopped in my tracks  when I saw her. I would love to have snapped a photo but I was with  another woman

During the same trip, I saw two women in military uniforms in a shop,  again despite the ill-fitting clothes they were both obviously  gorgeous.

My wife "made me" watch this video on her Russian music channel.  I knew that Russian TV would come in handy.  Their verson of Paris or Jessica car washing commercial/music video?  They win!

My son is joining the US Army or Coast Guard this summer, he still hasn't decide on which one to choose. I wonder if he'll be treated well there. At least I saved him from the Russian Army. I think he is still too young for such kind of a treatment...

My first day of basic training in the Army left me with bruises all over my body. Nobody beat me up but from what the drill seargents ask of you, you will be hurting yourself voluntarily. Most of the training is physical and psychological. I have seen many screwed up men who's life improved. If they weren't in the Army, they'd be in jail. Good luck to your son Rose.

 It depends on what your son wishes to recieve when he picks the branch he joins.  If he likes the water, helping people and performing law enforcement functions on the ocean then I would recommend the Coast Guard.  If he chooses the army he will have a significant number of jobs he could learn, but his chances of going to Iraq or Afghanistan increase greatly.  I myself joined the U.S Marines when I was 17 and it was a learning experiance to which I have no regrets.  The Corps taught me discipline and Esprit De' Corp, but I cannot recommend it for everyone as everyone is different and has different goals in life.  When I was 17 I had no idea of what I wanted in life except to get away from where I was.
