Depends on the visa but, that would generally mean as many trips as you want in the two year period

You can get a single or double entry good for 30 days; a multiple entry good for one year, or a multiple entry for three years. Tourist visas require confirmation of flight and hotel. If you want a private visa instead of a tourist visa, a notarized statement from your relative in Russia is required.

Save the fee of a "letter of invitation" by using a travel agency licensed with the Russian Federation so that this "invitation" is free. Better yet, if the travel agency has experience in Russian visas, have them handle the process and save yourself the worry of mistakes.
