One of the easiest closes to make on an elderly woman, if you are a man, is the 'Jesus' close.  I am sorry to sound so cynical, but many of the born again pastors that have big followings are men that started out with this simple close:  Make a woman your friend by wearing your Christianity on your sleeve.  Then tell of some major good deed you are attempting to do but needs their help.  I can just imagine Jim Baker and Jimmie Swaggart on Elena's Models, pedaling their wares.

That's interesting. The scammers however apparently do not understand the difference in the FSU mentality and Western mentality. Especially when it comes to the elderly Russians, who have been born and bred in the Comrade Stalin's time. They may have never opened a Bible in their whole life 
 
Here in Canada, I can see this contrast while talking to the elderly women. Well, perhaps a few of them could indeed be smitten with the long lines of professing Jesus in letters and outlining the Holy Books! The Western women may well take the professing of love for sincere. I am asking myself, could some of them be so stupid to be able to believe in true deep love from the second email?
 
Well, the Western men could be taken by the photos of smoking hot beauties, but here?...What is it that should make an older Russian woman lose her mind? What does the scammer hope for?
 
I sent both scammer links to my Mum. She sent me another long letter from him with a few pictures of his "daughter".

Lily you are an educated Russian womañ and yet you had to ask peoples opinion because he was international businessman, had a nice profile and good picture. Even when the writing was abnormal to put it mildly.. There are women who will get hooked.

Ranetka, I asked the question because I have came across a few men who have a writing style that is close to this sample. It is a big turn off for me, I am just not used to this type of written communication. My question basically was not whether he is a scammer or not, at least not at the point of asking. I found more on this guy just by searching his photos in the Google image.
 
However, I just wanted to ask the RWD opinion on this writing style. There is a big variety of people in the U.S. People here are not educated by the Soviet or even Russian standards. I have seen many different individualities here, yes.

The style of writing/ speech you will find in a small group of people with hyper religiosity. They think and speak like that. They believe that everything in life is determined by the will of God. " I know that God brought you in my life, I prayed above you. Now I glorify God because he gave you to me. " in this fellows case he seems to feel that God gave your mom to him and thus it's meant to be. Since it's destined to be why beat around the bush.
A scammer, I don't know but with that kind of delusional thinking I'd sure advise your mom to just delete any further messages without reading them and not give out her contact info.

Lily, it could also be that the man is business smart and absolutely clueless about romance, relationships and personal communication.
He could probably fire off a business letter without much thought, but can't remember how to woo a woman.
Also could be that he understands that he isn't going to impress with his looks & physique so he's trying to connect on an intellectual (long letters) or emotional level.

In the beginning of my search i met such writer. I mean i met a girl who was writing with this dimension of God.....
I knew also that i was not the only one and she used this letter for multiple men.
I met her.
She was a prodater of the most stupid type.
She of course never wrote this by herself, she borrowed it i don't know where on the net.
I spend few hours with her. Materialism was her God. She was just thinking about her new future 2500 $ notebook. It was the only thing which can create some sparks in her. I never saw a girl so empty. I fired her from my flat almost with my feet in her ass after showing her proofs of the scams she started on me  from the scratch.
She was not only materialist, she was also having a total lack of guilt. Honesty was also totally missing of her mental sytem.

Amazing, isn't it?  Glad she got away from him early on.  It has been my experience that each and every individual who has ever blathered on about *any* religion in such a manner, without exception as I have witnessed, has been -- as Bob Uecker might put it -- juuuuuuuust a bit outside.


Whether sincere or not -- it's an over the top red flag.

Lonely men would be my simple answer, men who have lost love and romance and seek to find a path back to youth write letters like this.

Now me, being one of those lonely men, I know better than to say I'm in love until at least the 5th letter...

But I can write pages. I was a professional writer for 30 years. I can't help rambling on. So, have a little sympathy for us old guys with too much time at the keyboard. It's easier for old people to:

1. Assume their opinion is fact.
2. Jump the gun, as it were, when considering a younger wife.
3. Forget there are real people on the other end of our letter.
