I had a long beard as a young person for a few years..then went clean for a long time..I don't think it is very stylish, as my teenagers let me know.

My father was 48 when he had me...hey it isn't ideal in many respects, but in the scheme of things it isn't THAT important...but you commenting on how old I look is strange for a guy in your situation...you can expect you will be getting more then your own fair share of whispers about being old either now or in the years to come...people will certainly mistake you for grandpa on many a occasion....so you wanna give me a break on 'looking' old, or should we keep commenting on each other's age and position in life?

Fathertime!

Hey, I'm no hypocrite. I know I'm getting on even if I don't quite look 60 yet - except for those times when it's been a week or two since I had more than 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep.

As for commenting. You are the one that asked, kinda.

Well if you had those first 48 years without the rigor of lack of sleep, you have an excuse for not looking too old...my prior wife is deceased and finishing off raising our teenagers has not made me any younger (wiser perhaps)...It is funny though...some people say 'oh you look so young' without the beard...but I'm not young and am happy enough at my current age.  I actually think it is funny sometimes that I 'look' old with the graying beard. I'm not trying to impress with my youth and beauty!   :)

You accuse me of rambling or being on medications?  Dear Lord man, read your own reply.LOL..

Don't weasel out of the question asked of you. If you don't have the balls to answer 'yes', you could at least lie to us and answer 'no'.

Lie? lacking balls ? Congrats you seem  the first to ever accuse me of that possibility, and  Phew! you just can't get enough innuendo in one sentence can you?

Since you've dodged my initial question all along , that's a rather strange tact?
I will ask again the initial question posed to you:
What does a  top tier MOBer like yourself , telling  other MOBers they are social misfits, on a MOB forum , actually accomplish?
Is it personal satisfaction/entertainment?
Setting all things right in the world? being awarded Captain Obvious?

To your important  question -
I already stated that MOB would likely naturally draw a larger percentage of damaged goods, both men and women ,than would be found in a random sampling of the populace.
I frankly never cared enough to research it, to have a reasonably accurate answer as far as majority ,
 Glad you've had the time?

Now ,the real point you seem to avoid like the plague -
Whether I said yes ,and was in complete  agreement with your assessment of MOBers :

Would it  make any sense,or accomplish anything  for me to put other MOBers down here,or stereotype the majority of them?

And sorry counselor , what was that? I can only yes or no?
Please do get over your bad  self..  :D

It is not a yes/no question.  You don't play an attorney on TV , or one here, and it isn't a trial ,its  a discussion forum , so you'll note going forward i'll answer as the question warrants.

Matt, you just wanted to take a few free potshots because I dared annoy you about your new chosen hobby. So take as many shots as you'd like , don't set that bar too high now!!...

Potshots at you? Pot...kettle...black, no?

Show the  potshots?Show the insults,  or stop deflecting.

You do seem to have an MOB axe to grind anymore,  is that a potshot? sensitive much?
I mentioned it jokingly , you asked for clarity,  and then I basically asked *whats up with that ,GQ* what does it accomplish?
You opine that I imagined it out of thin air, all while saying it was overdue, priceless really.
Then go into a mostly incomprehensible  rant ending in:
Quote
Leave the meds alone. It is really starting to clutter the brain, man. I know you're trying but just consider this a public service for now. But YOU ain't it. Sorry.

I aint umm.... what?
As a point of clarity , what exactly am I not , in your above statement?

As far as meds, not my thing at all, but I'd hazard a guess something was yours during that post.

Quote from: GQ
But to entertain you, which one is it you claim to be potshot/s? Too many head crashes? Too much pain-killers? You're a lifelong MOBer subscriber? You were divorced and was back flipping wife catalogs shortly after your divorce (were you doing this even before?). Are these the potshots you're pointing out? Are any of them true or not? All are?

Insinuation that any, or all are?  nice debating tactic , proud of yourself GQ?
You actually know me somehow ? Too many medications, head injury,  insinuations ,questions regarding my past marriage that have zero to do with the topic ,  you don't consider  potshots?
Sure give yourself a LOT of leeway don't you ?

Hey i'll play along once for fun-
Care to take a shot at my height? It's accurate, yet still a pot shot? Understand? Thought so.

As far as my personal life ,same answer as I've already stated clearly up thread- You have no real reason for asking, other than a silly schoolboy bully debating attempt to belittle or insult. You don't care or seek the  truth GQ ,it's simply your mode of operations anymore, anytime anyone even slightly conflicts with you.

Since it's obvious you're not your average MOBer.  I asked what is accomplished by your new hobby?
Your words are that this , was somehow over due here.
Well it was also over due someone ask what motivates you to do so.

Regardless the answer,   this matters to you, or the topic in what way?
Why the sudden interest GQ? Seriously studying the long term effects of multiple concussions in your spare time?

ahh here it is, it was just a set up for more insinuation of superiority..

I had extended you an opportunity (repeatedly) to re-post and clarify what your mumblings were. You took that as an annoyance to me? LOL...how can I be annoyed with someone like you? You literally have to type notes and scribbles on virtual paper, then copy and paste, just to make yourself appear coherent. Heck, you can't even type on a straight line much less use proper paragraphs and spacings.

I clarified my question , and you went off on a diatribe about your perceptions of my personal short comings.

So does any of your above ramblings,  have anything  to do with what is accomplished by an MOBer , castigating the other MOBers?

I tel you what GQ, keep deflecting about me,  my past , my  health ,my typing, my poor spacing, grammar , general ability to communicate? got anything else? LOL man!!

he does not use vulgar language, call me names, or swear at me behind the veils of privacy,

You respect him because he doesn't call you names although he does it to others? Take a good look at some of the guys you respect here. You like trouble makers.

I prefer to believe that no man married to RW is a loser if he is genuinely endeavoring to foster a loving, enduring relationship and if he mentors and facilitates her assimilation.

To do those things it costs money and for a man to marry a RW he has to have some financial success in his life. Chances are a guy's not living in a trailer park or getting free government handouts. Can't have honey without money.

Out of the blue, I get this silly message on RWG from you

Silly? My ex fiancee was in the hospital at the time and it could have been a life and death situation. I asked people to help cheer her up in real life and on the forum. Some offered to send flowers. I thought I asked people of good character but apparently I was wrong because you thought it was silly. You never told me that years ago but you feel it's best to announce that in open forum in a dispute. Classy. Years ago you were different. You actually helped people then instead of putting them down now.

The reason my ex fiancee didn't pass the k-1 was because she failed the medical part of the interview. She had a medical condition that could end her life and the stress she was going through could aggravate her medical condition.

P.S. Thanks for keeping PM's private. You're a real class act especially when you twist a serious issue into making it look silly.

this talk about being an old fart is just silliness and a distraction.

Let's get the facts straight. GQ's intent is worse than just being silly.

Jumper Dude!

1. Look at your keyboard. Go ahead, stare at it for a while...now, can you see alpha character buttons that look like the following? *Y - E - S* If so, just nod your head, dude.

Seriously, that would've been far easier than the drabbled crap above. You agree with me all along but instead choose the dark side trail of Vader.

*you...grandpa...TV show.....yesterday....today....you know
what

I....mean.*     ?

As for your questionSssssss: (note: you actually had more than one question, counting the number of question marks. There's even one placed where it shouldn't be, so forgive me if I ignored that particular one because it just ain't a question, okay?)

1. Yes. I love to get a rise from these losers, the old farts, the scumbags, the obese and the loners. It's the next best thing to watching Duck Dynasty.

2.  *Is it a personal satisfaction?* No, I do it for all the starving African kids, the diminishing west coastal planktons so hopefully someday soon we can all gather around and teach the world to sing...."in perfect harmony", then you can buy me a COCA COLA, man.

3. *Setting things right in the world?* Hhhhmmm...You want to hear an orchestrated symphony of farts to the tune of Ode to Joy? Dude, attend one of these AM/RW couple get together parties, man. Just don't light up a cigar!

4. *Captain Obvious award* - If it was THAT obvious, then why the heck had you been spending the time questioning ME? I know GATOR is an iconic symbol an MOBer in every aspect, but sheesh dude don't say it so loud. Old farts like him is a loud bang away from a massive heart attack, man.

OK- There I answered ('applause, applause').

So listen up - again (since you just prove that's a tough task these days, too). I already pointed out to you that if you take the time to re-read Reply #s 195 & 197 you'll easily notice it was YOU who brought this pshyt up. It may well have been the use of the word *patronize*, since I typed it in bold, that threw you off. Maybe. With you, who knows. But do that.

Once you do, you'll see all the silly banters you've been laboring over on a notepad that past 2 days had been for naught. You are left holding the pee pan all by your lonesome self.

Class?!? What the phock do you know about 'class'. You're the one telling tales about a mother who gives a man a book on 'How to F*ck My Daughter 101 Ways in 6 Different Countries". I'd love for any of the board member/s to ask your wife about that if and when they ever met you guys in person - in front of you, of course.

Do you even know the meaning of the word, dude? Class, not phock:P

The only class YOU have is on Sundays.

Cheering her up is nonsense and you know it. She doesn't know us from Adam and Eve to be *cheering her up*. She was in the hospital because she received YOUR papers for her interview. What were in it, lord only knows and why she reacted the way she did.

Can you freakin' imagine getting a note from a stranger you do not know telling you to cheer-up? BS BillyB and you know it.

Why then would YOU ask us to tell her we know you and that you're a good guy? Any freaking *classy* man will not ask strangers to help him lie to his fiancee, dude.
Ever think of that, man?

The message was the first, and only, message we ever exchanged not including the immediate inquiries and response relating to that silliness.

To play devil's advocate here, Dave, I don't think everyone posting here is an MOB'r.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

Actually run away would be a better choice!
Is it likely to happen?......NO!

As long as the forum promotes/accepts this kind of behavior, it will continue.
As many newbies have told me in private, they join the forum, read this crap and then leave.  Fortunately it is still a place you can develop friendships and then go off and maintain those friendships off-line.

GQ is just about making trouble and making an ass out of himself and the forum.  The insults and personal attacks have nothing to do with helping newbies or discussing FSU culture.  In fact he sheds a bad light on American culture.

Perhaps if those responding to him would just ignore him, he will not have anything to talk about.   ;D

For those that have not found it yet, there is an expat forum that also has a lot of useful info about living in Ukriane.

I assure you RWD does not promote this behavior.  Our problem is that unlike GQ, RWD shows much tolerance in its endeavor to be inclusive.  But there is point (maybe after the 100th post of the same-same) when maybe certain posts should be deleted and replaced with  :deadhorse:

I get PM's as well, often criticizing the whiners who have decided how everyone else should post, telling me about those complaining about me in PM's (that includes you, Doug), and the disrespect toward FSUW they read on the forums.  So, should we encourage posters who start whisper campaigns against others, or those who tell FSUW they should "Americanize", or who tell women how to post, or who encourage men who contact underage girls, or who promote their businesses, to leave?

Every poster has the choice to go to his/her profile, go to the "ignore' feature, and not have to read the posts of anyone he/she finds distasteful.  This forum moderates very few posts, and almost never does it moderate opinions.  What will almost always result in moderation is an attack on someone's marriage or their families.

I would also say that if someone is so insecure that GQ's words have such a profound effect on him, he will have a heck of a time IRL.  Of course, IRL, those words will be whispered behind his back, as few would be so bold as to say it to him directly.  Many, though, do say those words, and even worse, to FSU wives, so knowing what awaits, potentially, may not be a negative thing.

So what is the problem?

You don't like GQ's posts, don't read them.

Why take it so personal?  He has a point.  There are a lot of misfits in this area of interest.  You got guys who complain about fat women when they are fat themselves.

Some of these guys think they are doing these women a favor by helping them out of their shitty lives.  You don't think there is something wrong with that line of thinking?

Hell, those guys are doing charity work and instead of making themselves more attractive by engaging in stuff like exercise and restricting what they put in their mouths, they get to save a soul and remain tubby.

I can see why some would want to distance themselves from this ugly truth.  Personally, I just don't care.  I rather my actions show that I am different.  If you don't fit the mold, don't take what is said personally.  If you are taking it personally, there might be some part of what is being said that you may need to work on.

GQ, this is exactly how you come across in various threads. ...

Various? Well, I better do a much better job then..

That's pretty cute, Dave.

Don't lose you day job though. Must I remind you YOU were the one who had asked me point blank to define what I consider an MOber..what followed after was a bunch of guilt by association foaming at the mouths that started attacking  me instead of the message (wasn't THAT a clear violation of TOS?) led by the southern racist dude who calls himself *Gator*.

You don't like what came out of all that, then be careful what dare someone to do next time. You now have the galls to be telling me what you think of me? Pretty crappy perspective there, eh?

Short term memory lapsing?

You asked GQ for a character recommendation because your ex fiancee was in the hospital?

You neither bother nor rattle me GQ.  Why should you?  I see quite a bit that is humorous in what you post.

This isn't about the opinions. It's about how the opinions are expressed.  Reread what I posted up thread and allow it to sink in.. or not.  That is entirely up to you.

You are being too humble.  You do much work behind the scenes, measured in manhours quite possibly more than the other mods combined.  However, I can not tell give the anonymous identities.

True.  Fortunately, I have enough confidence to not be bothered by old fart or stary kozel.  However, why create and foment animosity when general fellowship would be more welcomed by many if not almost all?   Why continue it for a year with the daily bulletin - MOBers are social rejects?

Had some words but already filed them away before you stated this.   No need to pile on after you stated the issue clearly and succinctly.

Maybe a little of both?

As for social reject thing, I personally don't see it that way.  It may be more of a matter of some of these guys rejecting society compared to society rejecting them.

People that go against the norms of society will have to deal with the consequences.  What is the worst thing that will happen?  People will make judgmental statements about you.  Let them, who cares?  I still have family and friends making statements about my marriage with no information to back it up.  I will sometimes tell them they are full of shit... with a smile of course.

Shoot, a lot of things about me is probably considered strange.  I really don't want marriage.  I hated it when I was married.    I enjoy being social but equally enjoy my alone time.  I would rather work on my business than watch sports (unless live).  That is a killer right there.  Talk about reject!  haha

I would rather rent than own a home.  I love traveling too much to stay in one place.

Yep, I am a social outcast and love every minute of it.  I wouldn't have it any other way man.

LOL!...and you're telling me I'm annoyed? I am not even going to address this silliness, Man. Sorry dude.

This is what I mean with you Jumper. Look at the quote above. Doesn't that remind you of those silly little cut/paste scammer letters? At least with their work, everything is indented, spaced and aligned properly. Dude, look at yours... LOL.

What's causing that, man? You actually expect people to read that?

Ok GQ , Let's go through the motions one more time.
Actually I expect you, or any person whom I  generally respect their opinions ,
to respond in kind, without the childish crap you've spewed in this thread.
What is causing THAT, man?

I asked you, what castigating MOBers   here lately, might accomplish.
Simple enough,  and I see you finally  answered it was to troll. .

So  you spent a lot of words on your perceptions of my personal short comings, to admit all along you simply enjoy trolling here.Got it.
