FinnAir deals now through June

I got a "farewatcher alert" from Travelocity today (though I never have found great deals there on Intl travel). FinnAir is currently offering $485 R/T Miami>Moscow connecting through JFK until mid June. I didn't check other departure cities but this is a pretty damn good price for anyone considering a trip in the near future.

My wife and I have both flown this airline and were both impressed with condition of the planes, food, service, and ease of connections. Just thought I'd share.....

Does that fare include taxes? I subscribe to a few travel newsletters  and the weasels often exclude taxes or display prices of 1 leg on a  round-trip fare.

Taxes on a US-Europe flight can be an additional $270

Yep Groove you were correct, a few more clicks and it was up to $690 :yech:

Now I remember why I don't use Travelocity much anymore... It caught my eye because FinnAir had a killer deal going 2 winters ago that was $475 tax included, no advance purchase required, if you were willing to fly on Thursday or Saturday (we literally bought the tix less than 24 hrs before departure). I though maybe they had brought back the deal :noidea:.

I don't get it.  Based on the prices I've seen, isn't $690 after taxes still a good price?

The best I've seen so far R/T JFK to DME is $750 after tax.  If that's high, are you using Russian travel agencies like Infinity.ru to get tickets?  I guess I'm doing something wrong.
