The dance is coming to an end...
« on: September 30, 2013, 09:56:45 AM »
Damn she was such a good catch.  Beautiful and a ready smile which infers a good sense of humor. I already said my work won't allow me to do a decent trip till February of 2014 but she's already saying she can come see me and that her friends have a travel agency that can get her a visa. Two and a half months of careful discovery and unvealing of ourselves and it will end soon.

I'll miss the daily emails along with pictures - which is kind of a red flag to me to begin with though I can readily dismiss it.

If she were real this could be it. Smart, beautiful, good career and great personaltiy and a good family back story. A wonderful two weeks together in Kiev and her city.  A nice jacuzzi suite, pasta at night, clubbing once or twice, Valentine's in Kiev, gifts and warm nights. Oh well. The rest of the letter writing gals don't interest me that much. I get tired of writing and going through this whole ordeal.

I already laughed off the two Olga mix up between their handlers.  My other good prospect is a little younger than I hoped at 24 and she doens't have much of a sense of humor but then she looks like a little princess so maybe I'll hold on the idea that she's a serious and responsible person.

I'm guessing I could probably do a short 3 night visit within the next two weeks and I"ll probably have some fun and get some action but I'll know it's not real.

It was going so well too...a little sad today...

Gotta fix up your tenses there a bit FG.
For someone like me who hasn't been following your
story closely, this last post is mighty confusing.

I don't know if you are coming or going?
Whether you've met her or not?
Whether your relationship is just starting or ending.

My guess is they never met in person but only communicated. He was talking about what could have been.

Sad? Why? You grew fond of Fat Yuri's daily correspondence? He's a dude! Why would you miss *him* that badly?

She was not the one for you.  Another one will be along.

Well, it's not really 'over' yet with this one, Boe..(S)he already advised him that (s)he has a friend working in a travel agency and will enable her to travel to the US to see him instead. So I'm not sure why *it* had to end....

Am I the one who is confused? I though that you had already met in person:

Btw, if what you described above is real, perhaps you should have approached it differently. The honeymoon should come AFTER the wedding and this looks like you took her to the south of France, but without leaving Kyiv.

Go to meet, spend time together, meet as many friends and family as possible, see where she works if possible and learn as much as you can about each other in varying normal circumstances (cause that is how life will end up being lived, as honeymoons are a temporary diversion) and save the romantic honeymoon for later.

It is easier for a lady to get a visitor visa to the USA these days, Has she asked or hinted for you to pay?

If you read fishingguy's post carefully, soonest he would visit is February, hence, his description of how he pictured the two weeks together would be.( including Valentines day). At least that is my interp-

Really sorry to hear this Fish.
It sounds (sounded?) like a wonderful time and beginning.  Although you seem to have fallen a bit quickly for just a couple of months and not yet meeting her.  (I think you haven't met yet, right?)

yeah sorry..stream of consciousness writing..what could have been in Feb. 2013 with the pasta, nights, jacuzzi suite with the retro 70's furniture or is was that trashy Euro chic lipstick red furniture that I saw in one of those Kiev apartments... bla bla.

I haven't really fallen hard for this girl..it was just a little hope. I'm not the kind of guy to say he loves someone after a month or two of emails. That's just ridiculous.  But she look like a good one.

some of the other women say within 4 emails they can come visit..this one took 2 months..ha!

She must have a very slow internet connection.   :D

How many Skype sessions, and more importantly, did you pay an agency or translator for those?

no skype sessions. she gets on internet at cafe. I joined a site and messaged her and started emails.  Her English is good. We have spoken twice with the first time just two weeks ago. I believe your communication should be very good to find a connection beyond skin deep.

I think it was actually steveboy's site.

An PR agency we just finished working with has a fantastic young woman as their project manager and we had drinks this weekend. So I not without a back up plan.

My last adventure in the Russian dating/marriage scene about 10 years ago ended when I met a fabulous journalist. In the back of my mind I just keep thinking I'm meant to be with a RW or UW because my fascination with Russia and Ukraine.

I do meet Russian women from other means but the so called dating and marriage sites have people where their goals are clearly defined. I suppose it's just filtering through the fake ones and finding a genuine one that matches you. C'est la vie says the French.

Perhaps I'm just confused by your convoluted style of writing but are you saying that you communicated with a woman for 2 months and you got on well. When you said you'd have to delay your trip to her she offered to visit you instead. And because of that, you think she's a scammer? Is that right?

Of course that is what he is saying. What he may forget is that she is not a proven scammer unless she asked him to pay for her trip.
RW and UW that have a decent job can travel, and more tourist visa are given as people here often think, especially if they buy a tour through an agency.

I guess the joke may be on fishingguy and if he has written her with some of  his thoughts there may be a very confused woman somewhere in Ukraine, who is about to have her profile removed without good reason.

On the other hand, Yuri may just strike a number from his list.
No it is not a dog. Its really how I look.  ;)
