This is very cheap-- local prices. I was quoted  29 UAH per rose ( 228UAH when ordering 9) plus 49UAH delivery/ + 1 yes one as in 1 UAH for confirming photo and email.
That is as good as it is going to get I think.  Note -they are offering free delivery in Kiev. Delivery I paid was in another city.
 Previously I was very reluctant to pay asking prices quoted as they were out of all  proportion to what I knew were costs there--I dealt direct  via email with market florist who helped me directly--but it was only one smaller city. No excuse at that price not to be sending!!

you know , back when i was sending flowers overseas , i just went to the local florist , booked and paid for what i wanted from memory usually between $120-$150 australian for  13 long stem red roses ,

it may seem trusting  , but i seriously never bothered about the cost or the photo i never felt it was required at any stage , the gift of the roses was more important 

if you need to do that imho it is a sign all is not as it should be

SX-- what you paid is how I remember costs  -- at least 3 to 4 times these prices. The photo thing is definataly a little hangover from "the "industry" -- but is still a nice touch !!

In another thread-- some of the former FSUW residents  bake those never resident about things Ukraine and knowledge--on seeing this site today and it's organisation to western standards-- with prices that reflect local charges and costs --I think it is indicative of an improving Ukraine. A business Ukraine based and accessible to all via the internet  with a user friendly interface,a live chat function,immediate email responses  & fair prices -- yep-- all worlds best practice!!

Flowers were delivered as scheduled. Company gave progress reports-- order received-order with local florist-local florist confirms-- order delivered and notification at each stage.Overkill --but extraordinary none the less.
Looking  at offerings-- from flowers to plants,soft toys etc--  I particularly noted the chocolate prices-- they are barely above the supermarket prices there( and cheaper than here for the same item)  eg  about $10 gets a very nice  product .
Also worth noting--is a full list of delivery charges on the site -- free in bigger cities-- and small  fair charge for many others( eg- delivery cost me about $5!!_).There is a minimum product charge( not high) .
This is all in sharp  contrast with ridiculous attempts to extort with overpriced goods and services that have been available in the past when trying to send anything-- so--highly recommended.

one thing that is worth mentioning here is in regards to sending flowers to your ladys work place,

i never sent them to her work at all !!.    at the time her company she worked for was in a precarious financial bind ,ending up  several months later to close down and put staff off

she had not told her boss she was planning to leave and move overseas, she felt if she had of done this , her boss would have sacked her immediatly, so even sms while she was at work was carefully done ,

being guided by her wishes she was able to work right up until 2 months before she left her city , this helped alot financially  for her and her family
so check with any lady beofre you send flowers to her workplace imho

That is an excellent point  SX-- dont blunder in with guns blazing!!

In my case--I have actually been in her workplace and know the circumstances. None the less-- I did give instructions to call her  to co-ordinate delivery ( and to say ONLY that they had a delivery-so surprise was maintained)-- so she could choose where it happened. In her building there is actually security in foyer and they call whoever you are visiting there-so chances are if it was cold call she would have gone down to greet delivery. But since you mentioned it--I will ask exactly what she did !!

I always used Russian flora , about 100 -150 usually got a bunch of roses and a teddy for the daughter , always delivered on time and well presented . They will not deliver without a phone number though and they ring it just before delivery to makes sure us stupid westerners got the address right . They would never say what they were delivering , just asked the lady what time she would be home for a delivery  .  After her first trip here her boss knew it was a matter of time , but I still never sent to her work either as she is very private with her life and work is separate .. that's just us though   Ps , Now she is laughing at the speed at which I type

we are the same , & it is reasonable to say imo that this trait of keeping ones life and personal details somewhat private is not uncommon with FSU ladys

you will not very often find them divulging such info easily , many westerners are far more open  in our interactions ,lots of background reasons for it , mostly from negative experiences/teachings  in the past within that political landscape of communism

Yes, you can send wilted flowers to a woman . . . and then just proclaim to her that it was the fault (rip-off) of the delivery service.

That way you get two plus points from the gal . . . one for sending flowers and another sympathy point for the way you were treated.

But, if she really gets mad at you . . . then there is make-up sex.

Need to think all the angles through carefully.
