Going to Ukraine! first time!
« on: February 17, 2014, 05:35:59 AM »
Hi,

Ok, so I am 24 and from Australia! I am heading to Ukraine for about 10 days in April. So damn excited! I have actually been to Eastern Europe before (not Ukraine) on holiday, just last year, so I am not really out of my comfort zone (although I have never been in a Russian speaking country). I really enjoy travelling and try to go overseas a couple times a year. I am pretty used to traveling alone as well, people are so curious about Aussies!

I am meeting just one lady, in Poltava. She is pretty great! I hope that we click as much in person as we do over the internet. I have been chatting to her on Elena's Models, she is a couple years older then me (27) and seems to speak pretty good English.

Just about Elena's Models, I actually find it pretty hard to meet ladies there that are interested in me! They are usually a little curious about me, but not so serious.
I am surprised that a lot of you guys easily set up 10+ dates on one trip. I definitely have more luck on that site with gals around 18-22, but I am only interested in ladies older then me. I think most ladies think I am a little young for them? (or maybe I am kidding myself and the real reason is my profile/looks!)

I have been talking a little to a interpreter/guide from a different city in Ukraine. Only met her by chance (on this forum actually). There are heaps of glowing reviews about her and the services she provides. She has said that she can easily introduce me to great sincere ladies in her city.

I am really thinking of going to her city first for maybe a couple days then going to Poltava. But I just think it will be obvious to the lady in Poltava that I will be meeting other ladies, and she will be just one of many. So I am a little unsure. It is not a very romantic way to treat a lady....

I planned from the start that I was going to only meet the one gal, and if we hit it off then great, if not then I would just have a cool holiday! I will not be heartbroken! I really will not know if we click until we meet for real, face to face.

Anyway, what do you guys think about all this? This forum is really great, and has been very helpful to me!

Eagerly awaiting your replies!
Thanks!

Welcome to RWD russty!  :welcome:

There is something in your words there guy that prompt me to ask this question but, do you date multiple women at home? If not, why do it elsewhere? You sound as if you and the Poltava lady have hit it off yet, you kind'a sorta want to meet multiple other women? Do what you are most comfortable with. The trip is about you. If you are thinking of other women perhaps Poltava lady hasn't peaked your curiosity as much as you wish to believe?

Many of us know the interpreter of which you speak. She is honest and will take care of you. Excellent "Girl Friday" on the ground. Remember she is a service provider and does charge for her services.

Good luck which ever you choose.

Welcome rusty. :welcome:

I think you already know this but your age and the age of your preferred partner are not in your favour.

However, the fact you will be visiting will promote your chances of finding what you want by a factor of 100.  :)

Good luck.

Why do you say this vinny? I don't understand as it seems reasonable to me.

Firstly, I think 24 is too young to be actively seeking marriage (especially an overseas wife) and secondly, I don’t believe too many ladies on the age bracket 25-27 would prefer to marry a man younger than themselves. It’s doable of course …

Very Russty man

You need to have a Plan B just in case things do not work out between you and the lady from Poltava.

It is awful long way to travel from Australia to Ukraine just to be a WOVO man!

Is she going to meet you at Kiev airport?
I am an X-MEN called "WOVO Man"

Russty,

 :welcome:

Whether you date a woman younger or older than you, the age difference will probably not be great, so I assume it will not be a key issue.

A possible issue is whether at your young age you have the money to be able to afford a wife who will have more expenses than your Ozzie women, yet will not be able to contribute income to your marriage for 1-3 years, perhaps longer.

I read it to fast the first time and I do agree that 24 is on the young side to seek marriage overseas.

I am one who believes many young people( both men and women) are ready for marriage in their early 20s.....but I think international relationships are much more suited for those that are older, wiser and have had more life experience.
