Take a break, LT.

You have alienated everyone on here that might be your friend.  You are posting equal, almost, to everyone else put together.  We all know where you stand.  And you can't engage people without making them your enemies.  It is time to back down and let other people have their say.

You have a beautiful bride.  Put as much time into her as you are putting into getting in everyone's face.

Fair enough.  Now how about you take some unsolicited advice from someone else for a change: STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR FREEDOM.  People listen to you because they think you have money.  They are shallow and like stuff like that.  Your words could persuade people and persuade enough people, you could save lives.  Use that image to stand up for the right thing instead of the popular thing.  You agree with me more than you let on and you know it.  But when it comes time from support from my friend, you are never there.

But whatever I can't force the horse to drink

There is no need to cut and paste those news articles.   Have you noticed that RWD has been down intermittently.  The site manager says this is due to superfluously long posts.  His message last night said that after he did some trimming, we were still using 99% of our file capacity.  He concluded, " this is as good as it gets.. enough room for me to sleep and hopefully wake up before the server goes down... "

This doesn't apply to me.  Sell this to someone else.

Good point.  Will LT and JayH listen to you.

You listen about the same as Putin, i. e., you don't listen.

Everyone interested in this topic has read various news sources.  Almost all agree with you that Russia's actions are wrong.  You should condense your posts to an important, new point relevant to the topic.

I have seen war.  Maybe you have too.  I don't even want Arabs to blow each other up much less Russians or Ukrainians.  There is nothing on the table worth killing a man for.  Yet many have died.  Some people on this forum don't care.  Some people on this forum know that for this business model to work there must be unfree lands.  Instead of using that keen intellect of yours on what a bad guy I am, ask yourself: how many of my tanks are in foreign countries in violation of agreements?  Read a book or two or do some research on Putin and stop blaming me for his crimes.  It's stupid.  Not saying you are, just saying your argument is.

You are partially correct.   For sure you posts plenty of superfluous photos (space eaters).

And many of your comments are arguing with Putin as if he were a RWD member.

Show me please where I blame you for Putin's crimes.  That is nonsense LT.  I don't know your specific problem, yet you seem to have some possible issues.  Becoming too emotional, maybe?  Feeling the world and RWD in particular is against you, maybe?

You are arguing out of both sides of your mouth.  And if you want to silence me, make a compelling case before the moderators to do so.  Quite frankly I don't agree with what qualifies as  superfluous.  Tired of your veiled insults, that kind of activity is one that a hypocrite and coward employs - not saying you are, but the last couple of posts fit the bill.

And this goes for everybody, you really want to insult me.  Do it to my face.  I'd at least respect you more.

Putin does enjoy support on this forum from active supporters and enablers who say that they oppose him, but will equivocate on the extent of his crimes.

I never talked about silencing you.  In fact, I was trying to make life better for you at RWD (better as in people interacting with your opinions in a positive way).

I see no need to insult you.  Ignore you, maybe, yet that defeats the purpose of a discussion board.

I just don't see very much of this.  I could count supporters on one hand (two fingers  IIRC).

Most people recognize that we can do little.  Kasparov's suggestion to go after oligarchs maybe would do something; however, what rules have oligarchs broken, particularly with regard to  taking of sovereign land from Ukraine.  We would be as bad as Putin to go after them without any evidence of wrongdoing.

Most of us recognize that there is little we can do now.  For sure no one wants to fight a war, and that includes you.  Preaching to the choir does no good.  It only annoys the choir.

Gator,

I read your comments with great interest.  I was talking to my son today.  We were discussing some of the Tom Clancy books.  One, in particular, Debt of Honor, is demonstrative of the conservative line of thought.

In this book, in order to force a change in a rouge government, the US takes out (kills) the oligarchs who run the political leaders of Japan.  The end result is the leader is left without his base of support and is immediately displaced.

Well, I have seen enough that this adventurism by Vladimir Vladimirovich resembles a Tom Clancy book with all too much simlarity.

What we are going to see, and have never seen this before, is wholesale economic war.  Angela Merkel last week was an appeaser.  Three days ago, she told Putin that he will face grave consequences if he allows this to play out.  (Quite honestly, I would not piss this lady off.  She scares me a hellofalot more than V.V.)  With the US assurances that energy needs will be met, the EU, run by Ms. Merkel, will isolate Russia in such a way that it will be reduced to a third world country.

Of key interest today, was the vote in the Security Council of the UN.  China did not veto.  It abstained.  The big winner in this entire affair is the Chinese.  And the Russians are too dumb to figure it out.  With the Russian economy ruined, the Chinese will be the natural inheritor of the Stani countries.

And the Russian economy will be ruined.  And the oligarchs of Putin's inner circle will be destitute.  I give V.V. two years from ANY outcome before he is forced from power.   As Kasparov said, V.V. is bluffing.  Bluff called.  Economic sanctions on Monday.

We have seen economic sanctions levied against countries like Syria and Iran.  But we have never seen sanctions levied against a potential 1st world country.  Not like we will see in the next two weeks.  Mark my words.  The EU will not need to drop a single bomb.  Russia will be running for the hills with its tail between its legs.  It may take awhile.  But the people that will ultimately suffer are the Russian people.

For those of you who are students of history, Putin has used the words of Adolf Hitler, almost word for word.  If you can't see that and read that 'we will protect Russian citizens in Ukraine' is identical to 'we will protect German nationals in Austria and Czechoslovaki, especially in the Sudentland', then you have blinders on your eyes.

One last note:  Russian troops went North out of Crimea today to secure the local gas line in mainland Ukraine today.  Its war ambitions are blatantly clear.

To all my Russian friends on this forum, I feel for you, much more than for the Ukrainian people right now.  While you may believe that your country is doing right, you are the only people in the world who believe that.  Were I you, I would study the pictures of Germany immediately after WWII.  While I don't ever believe bombs will drop on Russia, I believe the devastation will be economic and it will be total.

Nah, he just forgot to take his drugs.
