May 10th... It's time...
« on: March 27, 2014, 09:21:06 PM »
On May 10th I plan on heading to Ukraine. I have decided to go the "broker" way with Mila. I am going to have her line me up some dates and also have narrowed a few women I am going to meet. Pretty excited to finally do it. I am however finding it hard to book a flight, so what site or with who do you guys book you're flights with? Should I go with a travel agency or go on priceline, orbit, etc...?

Thanks,
John

I have always used Orbitz or cheaptickets myself. I have found the cheapest flights using these. Good luck.

Mila is a good gal. Honest, upfront and will take care of you.

Personally, I don't like or trust the search engine flights. Find the airlines that service your destination and buy directly from the airline. It likely will cost slightly more if at all. Search engine flights work all the time, it's when they don't that gets to be a big problem

Good Luck

Your first jump of your ticket is to get to a major airport.  Once there, I would try Luftansa's website.  I believe that if you fly to O'Hare you can get a direct flight to Frankfurt and then a direct flight to Ukraine.

However, if you want to try true economy, you might want to look for flights to Gatwick in London and then fly UIA to Kyiv.  The round trip should be pretty cheap.

Austrian Air has direct flights from Vienna to Kharkiv.

Austrian Air is partners with United Airlines.

So look for United - Austrian flights.

This eliminates necessity to land in Kyiv.

But, aside from flights, it is pretty silly to be going to Kharkiv any time in the near future.

Also, Mila is not universally respected and recommended.
A beautiful woman is pleasant to look at, but it is easier to live with a pleasant acting one.

Under the best of circumstances I think the chance of success in Kharkiv is rather small.  Given the current unrest I think there is added risk.  But, to each his own.
