There is no confirmation of facts in that case....

LOL. Who's going to confirm it, Boe...Kiev? Because Kiev confirmed it as RPG attacks by the rebels..

WOW...the independent report for the rocket air attacks/bombing is nowhere to be found. Why do you think that is? Maybe it never happened and it was all just Russian propaganda?

I asked Muzh about this too...what is your point? The rebel leader reported they shot what they thought was a transport cargo plane. Is there anything else you'd like to add?

Oy! Didn't you read my excerpt I posted above where it said that the rebel leader posted on his social page about shooting down a plane?

he does not. He says they soot down aN-26, and that there is some info about another shut down plane, they think it's sukharev. He says nothing about who shoot the other plane down.

Choosing your flight path to the FSU has now become more important than choosing a woman. Anybody going there with a flight path near the eastern Ukrainian and Russian border?

The Kyiv Post is reporting conversations held by Separatists and Russian Intelligence Units whereby they reportedly claim to have shot down the plane.

http://www.kyivpost.com/content/ukraine/separatists-admit-downing-a-civilian-plane-in-tapped-conversation-full-transcript-356545.html

I do opine that if the separatists are indeed talking to Russian Intelligence Units and the tape is real, there is going to be hell to pay on the Russian side.

It will be interesting to see where the Black Boxes wind up.  My guess is that they will wind up in Moscow and never see the light of day.  Someone spanked the donkey!

As for the tragedy that continues to unfold for all Ukrainians and now the Dutch and Malaysians, we can only pray for a rapid conclusion to the entire situation.

I do think the conversation is real. However little secrets of translation,,,,

First conversatioin starts with...The plane was just shoot down. Miner's group. (further the speaker says that He (Miner the field commander - my guess)  went to check the plane.

Second conversation the speaker reports findings and said the Cossacks (over there, at Enakievo) shoot the plane. He also has to clarify twice to his superior who are those Chernuchintsi Cosssacks so my guess they are not a large/well known unit.

Basically there only two facts can be 100% sure from these two conversations:

1. it was Malaysian airliner.
2. it was not the group of the second speaker who shoot the plane.

I do not know if rebels have enough equipment to shoot but I would ask the same question the man asked:

What the f civilian plane was doing over the known war zone?

And that's for Ukrainian air despatchers to answer.

A civilian aircraft is visually identifiable.  I assume other commercial airlines have flown over that space as well.

The black boxes were taken by the terrorists, and allegedly, are on their way to Moscow.

In this case it was not separatists who shoot it. The man clearly did not expect it to be civilian,  he was very obviously upset with this fact as well.

He was upset when they found a foreign passport.  Because he knew it would now be an international incident.  Today, the British asked for an emergency meeting of the UN security council.

The plane was flying near, not in, but near, a corridor used by the Ukrainian military.  Other planes have flown near there as well, although the US apparently advised their commercial airlines not to fly there.  Here is one report -

mendy has posted that LifeNews, which he describes as "Kremlin friendly" had reporters embedded with the terrorists.  They released video of the plane crash, and reported it as the downing of a Ukrainian military transport plane.  They even had a youtube video up.  Then, after Ukrainians reported the loss of a commercial airliner, that youtube video was quickly yanked.

Translation -

"We've already seen how (these) so called rebels fire at civilian airplanes. Did you reach the target, finally, Igor Ivanovich? This [Russia] is an evil empire. I want to make it clear: the so called rebels do have BUKs and Strelas with them. I was so told  by an eyewitness who used to attend a base of Strelkov's fighters. He himself said during the beginning of the [Donetsk] airport storming last week that they do target civilian airplanes when they believe those airplanes are Ukrainian. However, they had not managed to hit any of them until this time. This is what I know."

I've seen this video lol....I;ve seen three videos from three different points and how people (two civilians on bikes and a couple of revels on a SUV) went to check it out. So what? No-one yet said neither before it was recognised nor after it's us, our group, our unit. All I know they were saying "Look, another went down"....it could be militia, it could be not. Strelok spokesman said "some info" What does it matter what Russian or Ukrainian or Marcian news say? I am sure both US and Russian military know who did it. We just have to wait and see.

Just like the black boxes from the 4 highjacked airliners from 911 and the one from the Chinook helicopter carrying the 23 Navy seals that got shot down 2 months after the Bin Ladin raid.

It apparently is NOT a restricted flight zone, Ranetka. Could be that the absence of a war declaration didn't restrict commercial airplanes flying over *mainland Ukraine*. Last April the US's FAA had posted a bulletin that the Black Sea and the Crimean Peninsula is off limits (banned) for all US-based flights. Malaysia Airlines have been flying over the same flight path...

Reuters report:

>>The military commander of the rebels, a Russian named Igor Strelkov, had written on his social media page at 1337 GMT, that his forces had brought down an Antonov An-26 in the same area. It is a turboprop transport plane of a type used by Ukraine's forces. There was no comment on that from Ukrainian officials.<<

There's a huge difference between a turbo-prop plane from a Boeing 777. The shooting of this plane, whether by mistake or otherwise, is another tragic consequence of this unnecessary conflict.

The US should not have been involved in Ukraine's affairs. Bow out of this proxy war now that Tymoshenko isn't going to be as focal in Ukraine as they had hoped. Leave Ukraine's affairs to Ukrainians...

Mendy saw it as well, and he said it reported a Ukrainian aircraft had been brought down, and it was presented as propaganda.  Given he is fairly neutral in his presentation of events, I thought that was interesting - a Kremlin friendly journalistic source embedded with terrorists, and disseminating their information as positive events.

You know I am trying to be believer in common sense. Like do not fly over the place where the planes being shot down regular. (hint - it is not the first plane brought down. But clearly common sense do not operate on Ukrainian territory at the mo.

That is an international corridor, and is used daily.  Among the plane's last contact was with air traffic controllers in Rostov, and air traffic controllers in Kyiv and Dnepropetrovsk were monitoring it as well.

Eurocontrol, which closed airspace over Ukraine, stated that four other commercial aircraft were flying over Ukraine at approximately the same time.

Of course they do...Russia may have done it, just as the US could have. One thing is for certain, it would be very foolish for Russia to be providing any ground-air rocket weaponry of this caliber to the rebels knowing how easily they can be overrun in this conflict by Kiev and sieze that type of weaponry.

I understand, Ranetka...unfortunately the world doesn't operate in that manner. Had this plane continued its flight path, it would have flown over Iraq and Afghanistan. Global conflicts aren't necessarily an instant no-fly zones...

The pattern is an established flight path...

...and that still doesn't make it, and should have never been, a US affair. All these things ever do is bring Eastern Europe in our freaking doorsteps like the wide intervention in the Middle-East brought us 911.

Desert Storm was supposed to be an international unit, but front, center and all sides in between WAS US infantry, weaponry, etc...Figure that...*WE* paid for that fcoking liberation, and we alone, paid for its consequences.

It liberated Kuwait, and Kuwaitis are one of the insurgence killing our soldiers in the Iraq War, including Albanians and Bosnian muslims.

Took it from Ukrainian, read it somewhere but since BUK meant nothing for me at the time can not now remember when or where:-(

Since it is claimed by many that it is Russia supplied militants with weaponry should be Kiev be concentrating on locking the borders instead of bombing the towns lol...they had three months to do that.
