People may tire of the news but Putin is not giving up on Ukraine anytime soon. He's also been sending military planes into various European airspace to test their readiness. Putin may have great ambitions. Maybe he'll want his name written in history books?

The story of just one of the heroic young men who gave his life fighting to defend his country:

"Eternal glory!
Fighter with call-sign “Boha” was so young and so full of life.
On July 23, 22-year old Sergey Bohonko was buried in Katerinopil district of the Cherkassy region. He died fighting in ATO (anti-terrorist operation). He enrolled as a volunteer, served in Defense Force”Donbas”.
Lots and lots of people were present at his funeral; all the residents of his home village Yerki came to bid him farewell and many people arrived from the nearby villages and towns, the military were present as well.
Sergey Bohonko was buried next to his mother’s grave.
He will be remembered and mourned forever."

Katerinopil is where my DIL's mother lives, ( my 'svach-ha') . I'll try to go and pay respects to him when we go there in Dec.

I just hope that these deaths are not in vain.  I really hope that Ukraine gets to run their country without the corruption and baggage from the past, but especially without interference from Russia.
