I don't think anyone is applauding it except perhaps fathertime.  The vote was clearly a violation of Ukraine's Constitution.  Having said that there is simply no doubt that a majority of persons living in Crimea wanted to return to Russia.  Just look at the ethnic breakdown of the area.  No doubt they intimidated Tatar's and ethnic Ukrainians.  Yet they will always say it was a majority and I really don't think anyone wants to lose their life fighting over it since they are heavily armed and firmly entrenched there.  Stopping Putler where he is at in E. Ukraine is worth fighting for.  If he's stopped there and never gets his land bridge, the economic sanctions over time might do enough harm that eventually there will be a regime change in Russia and who knows what the next leader of Russia will do.  They just might try to make a deal with Ukraine and the West over Crimea.

1. I reject your reasoning here, there is an enormous difference between quoting a portion of a person's post in a reasonable way VS putting a quote out there and then doctoring who wrote it.
2.  In this particular case I was not disagreeing with you anyway.

Actually it has been many many posters that have brought up cowardice and fear regarding the position I've taken on this Ukraine issue.  Although in this particular case, it was me bringing up that you were afraid to confront AC on his position, AFTER you used his quote and put my name on it, just as a dishonest lowlife would do.  I've given enough ammo  to discuss without you using a dirty tactic like putting my name on a quote that wasn't mine, it was a desperate and unnecessary move on your part.  Although nobody here (aside from me) will call you out on this tactic, (because your position generally is popular) that doesn't mean it was entirely wrong.  Doesn't matter though, I'm still going to state my position and defend it, like I always do. 


You can call my position being a troll if it makes you happy, but believe it or not there are a lot of people that feel similarly, perhaps not a majority but still quite a few.  If you can't handle somebody having a different viewpoint than yourself then that is YOUR problem.  If you can't debate the issue respectfully/fairly...then don't expect me to place nice and paddycake with you.
