Have 9 broken ribs and broken clavicale, all on rhs,
Been in hospital 5 days now and lot of complications arising.
Sorry can't contribute much as needed  to volume of postings.

Evening of Old New Year - Kutia
« Reply #1053 on: January 13, 2021, 08:32:54 PM »
How many wives / girlfriends made the required Kutia dish for evening meal ?

My wife did, grinding up poppy seeds by hand.

I am home from hospital now.

Still have severe pain only mitigated by the notorious oxycontin.

Wife and Pussy Cat
« Reply #1054 on: January 17, 2021, 08:55:30 AM »
I told back on October 25 about a very young kitten showing up at our house and refusing to leave.

Interesting events with respect to spouse.

When we first met I asked her a lot of questions about her favorite this and that.
When it came to animals, she said she really didn't care for any of them, even as her parents had always had dogs and cats.

So now the tiny grey, long haired kitten.

It first came into an open door and jumped up onto a bar stool and then onto the counter top where I was talking on phone.

I called wife to take it away.   She came and with huge smile said, where on earth?
I said I didn't know.
She immediately set about finding something to feed him.
I tried to give kitty away to girl visiting neighbors and wife looked somewhat upset, but said nothing.
Parents wouldn't let girl keep kitten, so back he was.

Flash forward to now, and wife has become extremely attached to this kitten.
Cooks special food for him, checks on food dish frequently, worries about where he is when he goes outdoors, etc.

So from not liking any animals, to a kitten lover.

Forced to swallow gunk from boiled flax seed

Last few days I have been having trouble with Gastroesophageal reflux.

Have to consume a lot of generic Mylanta to get the burn under control.

Wife started boiling flax seed which produces something with a consistency very much like snot.

Forces me to drink it.

I fell over top of ladder ..........
As I did 20 yrs ago and also 15 yrs before that. Both times broke my left foot ...it took two surgeries to fix. I will go [now] only 4 feet up on that ladder and that's it

Excellent care from Ukrainian Wife
« Reply #1060 on: January 21, 2021, 10:40:09 AM »
As I wrote before . . . I fell over top of 12 foot ladder and broke 9 ribs and clavicle back on Dec 30th.  I broke 9 ribs (some in two places) and my clavicle.  I was in hospital for 9 days and then returned home.  It has been now 3 weeks and one day since the event.   I am still in considerable pain which is only partially alleviated by the infamous oxycontin.

Point here being . . . my much younger, and above my league in looks, Ukrainian wife has taken excellent care of me.  Without her I would have had to hire almost full time help.
I can only rest and sleep in my large recliner which she has to help me get out of, which includes 1 or 2 times during the night for the pee process.
She helps me clean up after poo poo, and takes me to shower where she scrubs me down.
I have developed a lot of trouble with GERD which has been mostly controlled by her feeding me smaller amounts every 3 hours or so rather than standard 3 meals a day.
All this she has done smiling without a word of complaint.

So yes, you can achieve a woman out of your league in FSU and slight attraction from her side can turn into true love.

Now does this guarantee that we will live 'happily ever after?'
No it does not.

- - - - - -

Also let me say that my American wife would have taken the same excellent care of me; even during our last few strained years.
I am very lucky to have married two women who were excellent persons in terms of character, etc.

With my broken ribs and particularly broken clavicle, I cannot wash myself very well, if at all.

So wife has been scrubbing me down in shower, and shaving me.

I am starting to think she enjoys taking care of me as, of course, I enjoy her attention.

And now it seems she even likes shaving me.

What's with that ?

Going under the knife
« Reply #1064 on: February 08, 2021, 10:49:24 AM »
The two segments of my broken clavicle are too far apart to ever heal, according to my visit with ortho.  So they are going to cut, pull, reposition, screw in stainless steel plate, and sew back up.

But I must first go to cardio to get clearance that my heart is up to the procedure.
Go there tomorrow.

Oh dear, does sound more serious than I first thought. I'm so happy for you ML that you have your wife so close, and caring for you like an important part of her.

Best wishes with the surgery and I really wish you a speedy recovery.

No problems after 27 hours or so.

I exercise my arm every couple of hours or so, as the nurse said this second shot is reported to cause more stiffness than first shot.

I'm the original One Week Wonder and I think I'm on 17 years now. It shows that what you read here is sometimes bullshit. Especially by Kenc a 45 year old man who married a 20 year old, and is the man who coined the term One Week Wonder. What an idiot he was in that young gal ran away from him in 10 years, yet my One Week Marriage is still going after 17 years. So, do your own thing.
