That is one Russian I do not care for either. Though his remarks are similar to those of a certain Ms Timoshenko in the opposite way.

Russia has a tradition of cannibalizing its best and brightest.  Why is it news that they are racist too?

Can the "typical" Russian psyche be defined?

Russia has such a rich history, and has produce some of world greatest intellectuals. Everyone knows about their literary tradition, dominance in the physical sciences, and unbeknownst to many, for the last 3 decades Russian research in exercise science has gone on to influence the way the rest of the world trains its athletes, through their 'periodization model.'

Despite this dominance though, I'm inclined to think their moral compass is still woefully inadequate. Goes to show you can have populace of intellectually smart people, but it takes more than brains to be able to govern a country justly, reminiscent of China.
Married 3 years now, with a 2 year old son. Wife is from Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

If you feel that your moral code needs to apply to all of the world, perhaps.
For Russians there is not just good and evil, where good can use any means to win and evil is not given claim for doind a good thing.
Their view is much more pragmatic, where everyone does what is beneficial to them, however if you do well you have to share it with society. It also means that they feel if they care for and help someone, they  get very offended if they are stabbed in the back.

Not my moral code, the UN declaration of Human Rights. Moral relativism is an argument countries use to justify their human rights abuses, ala, China and their execution of prisoners for organ harvesting.

I don't understand this "share with society" mentality you talk about. Have you heard of the term "Russian oligarchs?" Let me assure you, they aren't known for their sharing, caring and humanitarian efforts.

Then again, my previous post probably came off a lot more black and white than what I was intending to. I should have specified I was talking about their politicians and oligarchs, not the average Russian citizen struggling to make ends meat. So if you were talking about the average Russian citizen, then my bad.

Ah yes the human rights. Was there not somthing in there about torturing prisoners?
As for the olicharchs, nobody in Russia becomes one without having to share. Those who get greedy are well known in the West for being 'political dissidents'. However as they usually do not put out a press release about how good and charitable they are, it is not noticed.
If a village burns down in a forest fire, it is rebuilt in short time without the people who lost their home having insurance. Now one may consider that Putin pays that from his own pocket, but that would be hard to believe, right?

Doll, you need to learn some of the history before you pipe up.

The bombing was under the UN control. The US was only 1 of many nations there.

But the topic here is Muskovi racism not any other war.

True, true. Not only that, but the remnants of agent orange and the countless birth defects it has caused in innocent Vietnamese people. Not to mention the plethora of American sponsored artocities throughout South America.

Our foreign policy, filled with hypocrisies, doesn't make us popular around the world as well, and the thing that annoys me, is that we are one of the worst global poulluters in the world, and consume by far more food on a per capita and absolute level than any other country, yet we can't raitfy the Kyoto protocol or adopt the 'precautionary approach' to agriculture like our European counterparts. We are a wasteful and spoilt bunch of people.

But I didn't say the U.S.A. was a saint either.

Despite this, I have hope for the U.S.A. The principle that guided our founding fathers' is what made this country a world leader, along the way we've somehow forgotten this.

Having been to Russia, and seen the bleakness of everyday life, I find it hard to believe the oligarchs give or share with the community in the manner you portray it.
