approval intro
« on: January 03, 2015, 03:29:01 AM »
Hi,  after being married to an American woman for 19 years I just couldn't put up with her laziness and drinking anymore.   So after being slaughtered financially in my divorce, one afternoon I found myself in a bourbon street bar talking to a beautiful young bartender.   After telling her my story she asked "why don't you go to Russia?   There's tons of beautiful single women there. ".  Turns out she was from Moscow.

To make a long story short,  I did,  and last month celebrated my 1st anniversary married to a stunning ukrainian woman.

An unusual twist is she was one of the much maligned "agency girls" that we hear so much negative about.   She is the best person I've ever known and also the most honest.

There have been a few disagreements but hardly anything.   It has not been easy or cheap getting here,  but what is happiness worth?

Yep there's always those who imagine their personal failure is global so not their fault.   Sorry,  I've gotta prenup to make a lawyer cry.  I didn't go in taking any chances.   Having said that there's 0% chance of us not staying together.

Unless the prenup was written in Russian (or Ukrainian depending on her native language) and explained to her in Russian as well by a qualified speaker, it can be thrown out.  Not trying to cast aspersions, just pointing this out.

Congrats Tom,

I have also found the most wonderful (Ukraine) women I have ever met in my life.
We have also had very few disagreements and she recognizes me as the head of the household.  I learned that as long you treat your wife with respect she will allow you to make the important decisions.  She likes being able to make all the day to day decisions.   :)

In today's feminist, politically correct environment I almost feel guilty being waited on hand and foot.   :)  She only has one hard requirement "If I catch you in bed with another woman, I will cut your penis off".  With such a wonderful family, the risk of that is nill.

Glad to hear that things are going well for you two.  We wish you the best of luck.  You might want to watch the occasional get-togethers members have and meet some of them in person.

That's fine but she is perfectly fluent in English.   She is attending college now to get into what she was doing back home and had a's in English. I've had my lawyer involved in the whole process.

Cal, I couldn't agree more.  She refuses to let me even get a beer from the fridge.   When i get home after night shift she meets me at the car door every time before I can get out.
I heard horror stories about men losing millions to their 2 year bride, but after a year,  no one can fake that long.

At your age, Doug, getting someone else interested enough to take to bed should be worth a medal - hopefully they would have time to get it to you before you bleed out.  8)

Wrong.  Everyone says it; everyone hopes for it; unfortunately, for a large percentage, it ain't so.

Apart from that,  :welcome: Tomshea!

Sorry to burst this bubble as well but, yes, they can.  You only have to read a couple of the stories from members here to realise that there are just no lengths to which some brides will not go to ensure they get the money.  Of course, we all hope that this doesn't happen to you.

I was not referring to a divorce, but the general cost. While there are exceptions, you have to expect extras for travel at least. Considering you made a prenup, you should be able to afford it which makes me wonder why you would mention it being expensive getting her here.

After 1 year I tore up our prenup. The only reason I even had one was because some stories on here. Yes, Shadow, we had A Russian lawyer.

Man in Chicago is divorcing even with prenup which will probably not stand. But she wants more of his 5.5 billion. She already has 50 Million of her own but no plane.

The topic of prenup has been discussed here, and by itself there is nothing wrong in protecting your future wife from your huge debts  ;D . But is has to be done right to stand in court in case of a planned divorce. If the wife can prove she felt forced, did not have enough insight in the extent or working of the prenup and can show more evidence of the economic disadvantage being used as leverage, she might get more as the ex-husband expected.

And while I only wish for the best in any relationship, and hop that the OP has indeed found lasting happiness, he might as well look over possible issues now to avoid a future train wreck story.
I would have to see a picture of the couple to get a better idea.

This post reminds me of Lenny Kravitz's version of "American Women" for some reason.

Glad to hear you succeeded. There are a few guys here who've been searching for a while now, hopefully you can give them tips to enlighten them on their journey.

Congratulations, couldn't agree more. Best thing i ever did was to sign up to Elenas, now very happily married.

There is a ton of stigma attached to these methods but the fact is that it works.
