I won't "clue" the whole thing but Mendeleyev here is not because he is " a respected popular international journalist"(which he is not)

Has Mr. Putin added 14 Trillion to his nations debt?

Putin has cut back the debt of Russia. During his reign, he paid back the debt Russia owed to America from WW2. That's something many of the Western European nations have yet to accomplish with England being the worst in debt to us. It was nice of him to do that since there was some debate to whether Russia owes up to USSR's obligations. Debt isn't the main factor in measuring the health of an economy though.
Fund the audits, spread the word and educate people, write your politicians and other elected officials. Stay active in the fight to save our country. Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776.

Are you talking about the WWII lend-lease debt that 'Tricky Dickie' forgave because he knew it would never be repaid? It was just to clear the books IIRC.

Oh I agree about that.  However it's very important.

LOL, Like it's the first time a thread ever got hijacked??

What I wrote is not really off topic.  As you can see from the Russian POV if you criticize their President they will often launch into a rebuttal about America's faults and the weakness of our President.  It's par for the course in any type of conversation like this.

For the most part I agree, however I think it's important to compare the Russian's ability to live within their means to the West's propensity to borrow from China and spend money we don't have.

Printing money through Quantitative Easing (a euphemism for printing money we don't have) is really just as deadly for our economy (and the West as a whole) as sanctions and falling oil prices are for the Russian economy.  It may take longer but our bubble will burst just as sure as the Russian's bubble will burst.

Clearly if Putin was not corrupt and he had invested in his own infrastructure etc. instead of a war in Ukraine he would not be a pariah on the Worlds stage.

I saw the PBS report, it covered most of the main topics.  I would like to have seen more material presented about “Ryazan” and the apartment bombings, because this shows Putin’s absolutely ruthless ability to manipulate Russian public opinion to his advantage by “staging” geopolitical events.  Seizing Crimea and Donbas is just a continuation of Ryazan-style tactics.

I also like how it showed that Helmet Schroeder was “bought” by Putin, I would hope that Germany would launch a criminal investigation of this activity, which should also close down North Stream.  Speaking of which, Putin just announced that Russia will not ship gas through Ukraine after 2017, and it would instead pass through Turkey, Europeans are “invited” to build new pipelines to connect to this new network...  This will be yet another nail in Ukraine’s economic coffin, probably enough to bury it by then, after the funeral what happens??

If 70 million Americans made less than $ 900 a month, I guess that is something to brag about.  You are pro-Ukrainian right?

That's 14 Trillion in little over 5 years.  Has Mr. Putin added 14 Trillion to his nations debt?  I think not.

Are you serious?

I finally understand what you are doing on this forum.

I never questioned your intelligence until now. That is a very dumb comment, Doll.

First, I've never claimed to be "popular" and frankly, most journalists are not.

Now, let us do an IQ test:

- Doll, do you have sufficient intelligence to recall how long I have been here? Hint: years before the current conflict.

- Are you smart enough to understand that I have often taken the side of Russia vs the West, say regarding Syria, for one example?

- Do you have enough vodka-free brain cells remaining to be able to name anyone else who has spent as much time positively promoting Russian life, Russian cities, Russian culture, Russian languages (for a lot longer than the current Russian war in Ukraine)?

If you have the necessary intelligence, get back to me with an answer.

If he was not a respected journalist I wonder why his wife has met Mrs. Medvedev.  Have you met the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation?

Just as an aside, I have Doll on ignore.  I have her there because she does not provide intelligent conversation (from my point of view).

Some of the things she has said are so far out in space that they pass beyond the orbit of our moon.  My suggestion is to do as I have done rather than give her ludicrous statements any further platform.

As for me, I am thankful we have Mendy's perspective - and at a substantial risk to himself.  If any of you don't believe it, ask Mrs. Mendy.
