"Yet again the EU leaders have shown their total lack of common sense combined with a no less total lack of common decency.  That latest sanction is a monument of stupidity at best, and a vicious petty and ugly crime at worst."

The EU has shown how utterly spineless they are by sanctioning Givi, Motorola and a 77 year old crooner; utterly pathetic!  By the way, that is a questionable website.  ;)

Yes, but it illustrates the double standards of the west which always talk about freedom of speech and how journalists are treated in Russia (of course, by Putin personally). In the last rounds of sanctions, a very well-known Russian news ancor (don't know his name) was also put on the sanctions list. Where's his freedom of speech and rights to perform his profession? He had to cancel his planned vacation to Norway, he even speaks the language.

You see, the new reality in the west is now that people who disagrees with western dogma, can be denied entry. I read that the Kievan junta now takes it one step further, to make it a criminal offense to deny Russians as the  aggressors in Ukraine.

Can't wait for Boe's comment on sanctions against Kobzon. Not sure if she knows who he is.

As I understand, those sanctions had been lined up before the Minsk talks; however, lets be honest here, the Minsk talks were a total waste of time, a bit like these latest sanctions.  How can you have a ceasefire when Zakharchenko has already stated Debaltseve will be taken?  A mere 2 hours after midnight the separatist shelling was renewed, and with with even greater intensity than before it started.  There never was a ceasefire there.

No, you're not dumb Doll. The behaviour of the EU is dumb and they did this right after the previous Minsk meeting too. Who knows why? Maybe to throw a bone to Washington? But they should know by not that Washington don't want a bone. They want war and chaos in Europe.

Denied, as in denied entry to the Schengen area. I found an article , I'm sure you know about Dmitry Kiselyov.

He can practice his freedom of speech in Russia.

First that "junta" was validly elected, even before Yanukovych's fall from power.  Second, whatever you read is not accurate.
After the fall of communism, the biggest mistake Boris Yeltsin's regime made was not to disband the KGB altogether. Instead it changed its name to the FSB and, to many observers, morphed into a gangster organisation, eventually headed by master criminal Vladimir Putin. - Gerard Batten

Sanctions is the only reason Putin went to Minsk, and they won't be removed until there has been a long period of peace.  Yes, I see the logic.  It is about changing bad behaviour.

Waste of time, yes. But I have more faith in what this guy say:

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article40979.htm

When i read stuff like this, I'm put off immediately as to the reliability of the source:

Quote
the AngloZionist Empire, aided by Putin, Surkov and an anonymous but sinister army of Russian oligarchs, has just inflicted a terrible and final blow to the Novorussian dream.

Again, there is no evidence of this:
Quote
First, I would remind everybody that the junta as broken every single agreement it committed to.  Every single one.  And there is absolutely no reasons at all to believe that this time around this will change.

Second, Poroshenko can promise all he wants, but the real power in the "independent Ukraine" is held by Uncle Sam and by the "Maidanites" he controls.

Again, where is the evidence? The separatists broke the last ceasefire in September as they have broken this one.

Quote
Nazi Baderastan and Novorussia are two civilizationally different project which cannot and will never coexist under one roof......... The only way to keep Novorussia inside the Ukraine is to denazify the latter and until that is done, Novorussia will never really return to the Ukraine.  That is a hard fact which nobody in the West is willing to accept.

OK, so now I know this guy isn't writing about reality.  The connection to the evil Zionist empire is now apparent. Actually, it's articles like these that make me sigh deeply.  I can't take anyone who write this seriously, sorry.  He obviously hasn't checked out Gubarev's past!  i've already posted photos here.  Don't have time now, but I'll do it again later.  if you want to see a neo-nazi, look no further than him.  ;)

Don't worry, I won't lose any sleep over people here disliking sources that goes against their own perceptions of what's going on. A little balance is a good think though. The worst elements here hate balance though, and instead resort to personal insults. You know the type (and I'm not calling you one of these, just to have that said).  ;)

So, Putin mostly agreed and then more sanctions on him - it is for him to DISagree.

Going into Minsk, the EU said it would not stop any sanctions about to come into play, nor revise any that were in place.  It said that IF peace holds, they will consider removing sanctions.

It's a big win to Putin that SWIFT hasn't been pulled from Russia.  That would affect oligarchs and Russian politicians hiding money behind layers of companies.

Haha, better with a left-wing view (not conspiracy theory which are best left to your side) of Ukraine than a brown, right-wing view.

Changing bad behaviour? Then the logical step would be to put sanctions on Washington and the minions in Kiev. Europe is shooting itself in the foot and Russia will never be blackmailed like this.
