Question re marriage in third country prior to immigration

if i was in your shoes -

wanting to marry in England, or USA ,or other country, than ukraine..
yet wanting to also file DCF-for ukraine-
to a ukranian citizen.

i would marry in Ukraine at zags,, just the civil ceremony.

then have a true wedding ceremony later any place i wished.


it would seem to take the guess work out and be the simnplest solution to a complex situation?


obviuosly the another mentiond option is  marrying here her stateside,
since she is already here legally,
and working out the adjustmebnt of status..

you have quite a few iptionb , that would stil let you keep uit fairly straightfoward.

i would also consult an immigratioh attorney,, if you did anything "different"
as snags are NOT siomething you want to come up unexpectadly.
and if the USCIS cant find a snag , they wil make one up as they go along.

AJ - more good info (but I am an engineer by training so I'm still going to keep digging for "facts" ;o)).

Ste - I am also a UK citizen (just not a resident) so I figured that would make half of the problem simpler ;o)).
