Natural - please define 'Multipolar' in regards to Moscow's foreign policy and defense strategies.

Well, the way I see it, it's the policy of dealing With souvereign nations on a business like manner, without resorting to threats of regime change/war if you don't get what you need. Respecting the souvereignity of independent nations and the wishes of their Peoples. This carried out diplomatically as far as possible without risking Your own national Security by aggression of another state With unipolar policies.

Someone much brighter than me would surely be able to provide a more elegant and precise definition.

You are protecting a mafia state, an illegitimate regime that employs terror against its own citizens and kills its critics.  When others more intelligent than you demonstrate that over and over again with facts, you call them Nazi.

When I mentioned more intelligent ones, I wasn't under any circumstances thinking of the members of RWD. More like Sharp political analysts that I have linked articles to.

I want to be clear, you do not regard the Putin regime as a mafia state or a terror state?  It is a yes or no question.

It reads to me like an 'either/or' question.   :cheesy:

That's a very nice definition.  it's just a shame that Moscow has absolutely no respect for the sovereignty of Ukraine - an independent nation - or the wishes of its people, and therefore fails the "multipolar" test.

No.  It is the way you phrased your post.  There is an OR right in the middle of it.  Therefore it cannot be a yes or no question unless the OR is in the middle of the yes and the no (which were not present).

Rather than a clue bat, we're gonna get you a clue OAR.

Sounds like you are covering for your buddy.

Doll and Belvis can be excused for shilling for the Tambov crime family and their Moscow thug.  They might be getting paid.  But Natural is doing it for free.

I do not defend The_Natural on the Forum.  He makes some pretty ludicrous posts.  But that doesn't mean that we can't have a beer together and talk Eastern European women.

The original topic- I think war with the Soviet 2.0 should be avoided and I'm sure our lawmakers here in the USA feel that way. However, this is a case where a large powerful bully is trying to destroy a weaker nation, a country with a newly-formed democracy, that wants to join the EU. So, do we just sit back and watch the action unfold?
As I've said before- it's all about Putin's brain. His ally was thrown out of office, in Kyiv, the cradle of Russian civilization. The govt in Kyiv now wants to turn away from all things Soviet (and all things Nazi) and decide their own future, their own path, which happens to be a path that makes Putin feel like a Soviet Loser. The place he associates with his 'roots', now chooses the 'West', in terms of a future lifestyle. His roots have rejected him and his philosophies. Like a child, he has reacted by having a violent tantrum. Death and destruction and lies about Kyiv going 'extremist' and 'fascist' and his only examples are photos of molotov cocktails, that skillfully omit images of the threatening Berkut police. Another part of the equation is Putin's paranoia. My guess is he actually thought the new Ukraine would try to throw his navy out of Crimea, although we never saw any evidence of that. His fear of NATO is unfounded, in my opinion. Putin should take notice of the world's fear of Russia and the desire of many nations to join NATO as a way of protecting themselves from Russia.

The Neo-Soviets will lie and kill.  That kind of thinking simplifies things.

Yes, but I don't want to simplify a truly complex world, a world with lots of shades of gray.

Sorry to disagree with you. There are no Neo-Soviets.

What you see are Sovok relics that refuse to die.

I can see why you would say that.
